Custom creatures and AAF compatibility?

Pretty much every custom creature mod out there uses animations from a vanilla creature, but when I try to get them to do anything with AAF they just stand there. If they use regular animations, shouldn't they be able to do whatever the vanilla creature can? And if not, is there an easy way to make them? I'm pretty awful when it comes to modding things so if I'm just being an idiot let me know.

If your talking about mods like https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/43543 .I believe it's been mentioned in the AAF thread that the skeleton and animation's are not setup in a standard / proper way or format to be animated correctly with AAF. Plus I not sure if any one's made them any Dick mesh. For the best answer for this question I would ask here: https://discord.gg/B95qTEn.
