R0R0N0 Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 I was thinking about doing some animated videos on youtube with Skyrim models and terrain, would it be possible to monetize it if I make use of animation, music and sound that is mine except for the skyrim models?
Guest Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 I don't think there will be any problems since ... OH OH sorry by 'monetize' you mean gain profit? If that's the case then i think that it would be bothersom for many people including Bethesda AND modders!
R0R0N0 Posted March 14, 2013 Author Posted March 14, 2013 Yeah that's what I thought after seeing Tyrannicon's videos, but I wasn't quite sure if it would work for me. I'll see what happens after I upload my first one.
formel Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 I am no lawyer or expert on laws but i think that should be no problem if you monetize it with advertisement. Take the let's paly chanels which you can find all across youtube as an example for your case. They make videos of them playing and commenting games which they don't greated and some of them can make a lifing from that. Until now no publisher take actions againts these videos. So you should get no problems with your videos especalliy when you show contend which you self created. Only thing you may pay attetion is if you ever use music from musiclabels these may lead to problems like your video is blocked in some countries or gets removed. That's my opinion on this topic but again i'am no expert Good luck with your video project
