A dragon/scalie tail mod that DOESN'T suck

hi!

 

the only thing i need to make my experience complete are some good scalie tails for my lizard dudes. i found a mod i like, Zaneida's Lizard Tail, but it uses the glasses slot! i want glasses AND a tail! aah!!!

 

i understand the process behind customizing mod files for this sort of thing (using sims4studio, exporting the textures and adjusting them to be where it's expected on the map), but i can't seem to make it work right. i always get a basic "flesh" texture that covers the entire tail instead. i want to change the slot this tail occupies from the glasses to something else (lipstick?). i think it'd be much more flexible that way. attached is a .zip with the mod and ripped textures for the color variations.

 

i can't be the only one looking for such a thing, it'd be a big favor to any other people trying to make fantasy/furry/not strictly human sims. thanks so much!

 

and please, be meticulous when describing how you've accomplished this! i want to make better mods for the community, and this seems like a good place to start.
