Question about landscaping mods

Ok, this is probably a newbie question but i still have no idea what is going on here...

Ive been collecting mods for a long time in order to make my Oblivion installation as perfect as possible, and i became interested in landscape enhacement mods

So heres what i got

-Unique Landscapings + Patches for better cities http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/19370 http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/13834

-Better Cities http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/16513

-Alive Waters http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/6914 this is said no to interfere with the other ones, because those are not supposed to touch the water)

This combination is supposed to be the best landscape combination but i still have one problem on a little thing that doesnt entirely fit in:

THIS PIC: shows the imperial city from above, but it has buildings and trees, and mine doesnt!!!  :@

I dont know if this is a configuration issue, a mod im missing or a setting in the installation of these mods, but my impereial city, viewed from the outer world has empty spaces with bad texturing where the districts are

It could be the load order but i placed everything related to better cities, loaded last as it says on instructions and the patches even more at the end of load order, i get no messages telling to change my load order (as they appear when it is not configured the way the mod wants it) and every city looks redecorated as it is supposed to be

At a time i thought i was missing the "Open Cities" mod, but its no longer compatible with better cities, as it now has its own version included in "Better Cities" and it is activated via menu

So what the hell is wrong? can anybody help me please?

I really wanted to have a more realistic external imperial city, for screenshooting purposes, and for flying races or dragon mount mods purposes

On a certain other forum you'd probably get indeed derided for this question... :dodgy:

But enough already of the Nesux dissing now (if there can ever be enough of that).

Two crucial things come to my mind:

- Have you also installed a 'Better Cities' VWD plugin? From what I remember when I tried out the mod for a short time there are additional esps included just for the purpose of adding the new buildings as visible-when-distant information. There should be several of those to choose from to match what combination of BC plugins you install.

- Do you use an LOD generator utility of any kind?

Have you run it after installing 'Better Cities' (especially after installing the mentioned 'Better Cities' VWD esp)?

Though I'm not using BC, if you look at my current signature you will notice that a combination of a city VWD plugin and generated LOD indeed makes all buildings visible from afar, even from Gnoll Mountain where I shot the picture.

Ok thanks i think im getting somewhere now

I have to say i didnt actuall went to the trouble of looking at what every single esp from better cities does to the game, and i use wrye bash to mantain order in my esps

So i moved the entire bettercities group to a certain position near the end of my load order but this particular VWD was close to the beggining of the mentioned group

I moved it closer to the end and now i got so see some changes, but only close to my character.

Im guessing it has something to do with the LOD generator you tell me, the esp specifically says something about "TES4LODGen" so that must be it

I had no idea such mod existed so im installing and testing it later... i really hope it works
