Sims 4 unlimited sims count

I know the game says it'll cause issues but what really goes wrong if you make your sim count unlimited?  I have game I've put a lot of time into where I'll have to do that cuz I have so many sims.  I'm worried that it will corrupt my game in ways that'll make it unplayable.  Please help:)
