Tamago install help

Hello everyone

 

I would like to install Tamago but I'm really not sure where to start.  I have looked through the download threads and downloaded the most recent versions of everything (I think), and I've read through most of those threads looking for steps on installing things, but haven't found very much.  I've also done several searches on the site for Tamago and didn't' see what I needed, though I'll admit there is a lot of info out there and I might have overlooked it.

 

I think the problem I'm having is that there seems to be a lot of various pieces to Tamago and several of the threads don't seem to exist anymore (or the links are broken at least).

 

Could someone give me a quick rundown of what is necessary and what order to install things in?  I'm fully capable of making my own OMODs, and have done so with all the lovers stuff I've installed so far which is all working perfectly, so I don't really need hand holding, just a basic outline of which things to install and in which order.  And I know where to find the LO list, so I can get that setup on my own once I have it installed.

 

I just don't want to hose everything up adding Tamago.  Thanks, I appreciate any help.

You might start from the most basic stuff.

1.12 version, which is most common here at present.

Note: each of them has their own bugs. None of them is too serious, though.

 

For the requirement things, read the documentation included. Basically you need OBSE, that is all for TamagoClub itself. Hiyokoclub requires TamagoClub.

But there is no point of installing tamago without Lovers, so you need LoversPK system.

And you may want hiyoko generator as well, which requires MBP. (there also is the version that is not MBP dependent.)

If you want the HUD feature install TamagoPlayerHUD or something similar name, it requires Pluggy.

If you want to install TamagoSetbody (either Justinof's version or mine or anything) Make sure you also have SetBody enabled.

Thanks, I'm gonna try it out and see what happens.  I was confused on the setbody thing, but I had read the post in your Setbody revised thread and was unsure if I needed setbody or not (in your thread it says "Almost Required").

 

I do have one followup if I may:  In downloading the 1.15c stuff, there is a link there for  LoversTamagoClub104_eng.7z.  This is one of the things that confuses me is 1.04 needed as well?   And should that go first to be updated by 1.15c or are they two different things with similar names?

 

Ok, scratch all that.  I have it installed, and it doesn't CTD immediately! Thank you very much for your reply movomo, that was what I needed to get me started.

 

I now just have two small issues if anyone has any ideas:

 

The Hiyoko stuff in game is obviously not translated.  Is that normal, or did I miss a translated file somewhere?  There were alot of versions of the generators and such and I might have gotten some mixed up.  I don't mind looking through them again but I'd just like to know if I should even bother.

 

Also, the Hiyoko settings spell/power doesn't seem to do anything.  The Tamago one works though.

Well that's weird. "HiyokoClub" main setting spell is translated indeed I've confirmed it just now. Others I don't know. Some of my plugins are in raw japanese (I've grabbed those from the livedoor wiki) so I don't know exactly what mod here is not translated. Just to be clear, (if you downloaded TC 1.15,) make sure your ini files are encoded in ANSI as well. When I uploaded TC 1.15 I accidentally saved them in unicode so I uploaded ANSI versions later.

If I remember correctly, hiyoko setting spell does nothing but clear out all the hiyoko children prior to deleting the mod. (and the new feature as of hiyoko 1.10 you can set the 'orphanage' place with the settings spell. Normally every orphan follows you)

I just looked again and couldn't find the thing that was in gibberish.  It may have been the initial pop ups from Hiyoko, but everything I can access now seems to be readable.
