YellowCorn1212 Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 I'm thinking of adding a texture that changes book covers, fruits, potions, and a few plants. Would I have to take another 30min to make a whole new DynDOLOD gen just for those? The mods I have in mind are: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/37112 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/34773
Scrab Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 DynDLOD creates LODs (yes actually) LODs are basically what you see in the distance. Climb up a mountain and look in the distance. You will see some 2D textures of Trees and Landscape. Dyndolod improves that very image to give you a better view than those annoying flashing mountain sights (..) When you create a new LOD using DynDOLOD, you should only enable mods that actually alter the landscape, things like books or fruits arent part of the landscape I have a seperate profile in MO2 specifically for creating LODs in which all the mods that dont change landscape are disabled

I just watched a video about doing it a lot everytime you download a mod and that'd be fine if it didn't take like half a day to make one lol. I'm not at the stage of making separate profiles yet but i'll get there. Eventually.
minaemm Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Actually, you would need to run TexGen only for a textures change. DynDoLOD is only needed if new Objects are put into the world(s). For example, Whiterun Texture replacers, only TexGen is needed, JK's Skyrim (Whiterun), both will be needed.
