Has anyone ever used the skirt bone?

So I'm kinda at my melting point trying to port a skirt. I can't manage to even out the weights at the center for the skirt to stretch properly when the female is running.

Now I've seen the skirt bones for far too long and never really paid any attention to it because I never saw it within the list of bones included in an armor's skin modifier, so does anyone know if it's been used for an actual skirt? or if it can be used?

EDIT:

I've also selected the center vertices on the skirt and applied meshsmooth to get some extra verts/polys but I still couldn't even the weights out. I only applied the meshsmooth once, I didn't want too many polys since it's a simple skirt.

I have used the skirt bones many times, and well there not easy to weight for..

There are 2 ways that i know how to do it

1. find a mesh that is a similar shape to yours (and uses the skirt bones) and skin wrap with it as your target

then tweak the weights.

2. Just above the list of bones in the skin modifier hit add, and pick the bones you want (skirtF1, skirtB3, ect) and blend the weights by hand..

only do 2 if you cant find a mesh to work with 1

And looking at your SS the under skirt on a saber dress looks to be a good fit

I'm 99% sure this is the one http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/10154

but just in case http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/11550

but like i said they are not easy to work with, they like to twist for no reason, they don't move when you want them too and they are a nightmare to balance with each other... But errrr good luck  ^_^

Which mesh are you trying to port and from where?

I was porting Yuna's summoner's dress and decided to swap the extremely low poly skirt for a better one and I have been having problems with it ever since. It's just the skirt mesh that's causing me problems/difficulties.

Thanks Vioxsis, I tend to do number 1 a lot but I couldn't remember any armors/clothes that had long skirts so I gave up on that but the one you found is a great match. Also I'll be staying far away from those skirt bones, they sound like a nightmare to work with.

tryed the bones some time back out with the x32 skelly, i just added the bones din't weight them, when running walking they almost behave the same as without the bones, only when going in sneak mode you see a big difrent(not good)

Agreed on that, skirt bones is definitely bad/weird on sneaking....well as long the skirt are short enough. i always avoid doing this skirt thing, besides its not that i was good at manual weight painting too. I'm totally with vioxis, try to find silimar mesh and try to weight it as close as possible and modified the mesh into shape that i want.
