Otherwise, I could give you a good list of games with non-human protagonists which are decidedly not M/AO rated titles. If so, then I suppose that Sakura Dungeon would count since the protagonist is a Kitsune. Fallout 3/New Vegas and Fallout 4 have some decent mods for playing Deathclaws and ghouls which are compatible with the sex frameworks so you could check those out. The Sims 3 and 4 have plenty of built-in monster races (Super Naturals) and many additional races added by mods as well as their own sex frameworks (Kinky Whims and Wicked Whims). While they are not the main character, there are a bevvy of playable monster girls in the AO-indie game Princess & Conquest. Boobs Saga is yet another AO-rated indie game in which one can play monsters ('Furries' are monster people when they co-exist with humans rather than serve as substitutes for them as far as I am concerned).
