Iolya Posted July 8, 2020 Posted July 8, 2020 Hello, everyone! I've been exercising a wish to shift from COSIO to BHUNP for quite a time now, but just can't make up my mind. The thing is that, as I understood, COSIO is basically CBBE and I've been using CBBE since I started modding Skyrim. I have quite a few mods for CBBE like vanilla armour HDT conversions, many outfits and all that. I've never used UNP and I wonder - suppose I've deleted COSIO and installed BHUNP instead. What should I do not to break my game? Like, should I delete each and CBBE mod? Or maybe there's something I need to clean up after deleting CBBE? I'm not really good at all this stuff, so I would really appreciate your advice on the topic! P.S. By the way, does anyone know if there are HDT conversion for vanilla outfits?
nilead Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 BHUNP author provided a guide to converting armor for it, you can use it. Or you can use content other people made for it. You can use UUNP outsits as well for most things that arent skin tight (or convert them by using that very guide). It takes a little time first time around, after you get the hang of it is quite fast and esay process. Technicly there is nothing you have to do, even your old armor will work (will look damn weird thou). I believe SMP setup of BHUNP require a new character, but i might be wrong. In general - beyond converting/replacing your outfit mods, there isnt much. Just go with install instructions.
Pauduan Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 There are four things that need to be set up when switching bodytype: 1. Body meshes 2. Body textures 3. Armor meshes 4. Physics Typically the first only affects the naked body, the second afects the naked body and any visible skin. Due to the way Skyrim works, the armor 'replaces' the body mesh when equipped so if you only do the first two you'll get a bad hip seam due to mismatched normals when equipping a CBBE mesh on a UUNP texture (or the other way around). If your armor doesn't reveal this are you might not even notice something's wrong. Some armor meshes don't include the body itself and will clip or be misaligned. These need to be rebuilt in Bodyslide. Once you have your preset dialed in, use it to rebuild UUNP outfits (and yes, there are many available from Vanilla to fully exposed). This should set you up for 90% of the game.
Mombasa69 Posted February 17, 2021 Posted February 17, 2021 It's pretty straight forward, just do the body first, leave the rest as is until you're happy, if not easy to go back. ?
Mombasa69 Posted February 17, 2021 Posted February 17, 2021 Pretty much all you will need is here https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/100306?tab=files
