sen4mi Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 I need help finding pants... Specifically, females in my skyrim game, wearing miner clothes and/or necromancer robes are nude from the waist down. And, I totally understand that that's exactly how it should be on some people's games, but ... When I inspect the .nif files in nifscope, the miners have covered legs and the necromancers have a nice skirt. And, when I inspect my game using tes5edit I see nothing overriding the records for armor, for armor addons or for texture sets (i do not even see any necromancer texture sets) And when I inspect the .bsa files I do not see any bsa which would override my installed mods in this context. So... ideally? I would like some kinds of hints for how to isolate how this could be happening. (Or, failing that, maybe someone could come up with a in-game tale about why these (and only these) outfits are bottomless, and why only for women? And, why is no one paying any special attention to them? ... maybe it's easier to just figure out where the pants went...)
uk33 Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Some mods change the vanilla clothing to make them more skimpy, Ladybody does, as well as as a couple of body modifier mods (mods that adjust vanilla armour/ clothing to cbbe or unp body for example) Seeing your mod list (in spoilers) may shed light on your problem.
sen4mi Posted March 5, 2013 Author Posted March 5, 2013 Here is my current mod list: Skyrim.esm Update.esm Dawnguard.esm HearthFires.esm Dragonborn.esm ApachiiHair.esm sexis.esm ZaZAnimationPack.esm HighResTexturePack01.esp HighResTexturePack02.esp HighResTexturePack03.esp Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp Unofficial Hearthfire Patch.esp Unofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp Unofficial High Resolution Patch.esp better dynamic snow.esp rainbows.esp bardsoundsmalukah.esp staticmeshimprovementmod.esp Economics of Skyrim.esp Economics of Skyrim - Dawnguard.esp prometheus_beastskeletons.esp moss rocks.esp shootingstars.esp tk_clutter_plants.esp vibrantauroras.esp SkyUI.esp fa hide armor.esp straponbyaeonv1.1.esp zarias_restraints.esp alternate sunglare.esp forger.esp guardskillcomments.esp Headtracking.esp terrain bump.esp unreadbooksglow.esp walk.esp Werewolves.esp ASX_Spells.esp marriagemod - alpha v3.esp Start As Nord Female.esp ethereal_elven_overhaul.esp purewaters.esp water.esp accurate prison markers.esp lycanthropy infection.esp staticmeshimprovementmod-part2.esp fa ebonyhelmet.esp sexisdefeated.esp xazPrisonOverhaul.esp ZaZAnimationPackConfig.esp sanguinesDebauchery.esp SDpatch - dawnguard.esp SDpatch - dragonborn.esp And the nifs come from LSAR_for_UNP_wellfitted_v230r2-5564-2-30r2.7z (though I have to admit that I tossed dozens of the nifs from that set, I thought I could use the miner and necromancer outfits - and of course I could just get rid of these, also, but now I want to understand how this problem can occur).
Mud Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 All I can guess is that somehow the LSAR "no skirt" option outfits have found their way into your game despite the ESPs for LSAR not being in your order. The LSAR mod comes with options for no pants and no underwear and the like, but those should have been tied to specific ESPs, none of which you seem to be using...
Vioxsis Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Well my dear watson, the case of the vanishing 'pants' was due to the use of the BSDismemberSkinInstance If you wish to fix it you can simply change the body part to "SBP_32_BODY" or edit the esp to include the other body parts. And looking at the old versions file size, and the fact there are alpha property's where there is no use for them i would say he used to use alpha masks to hide parts of the mesh.
