DocClox Posted July 3, 2020 Posted July 3, 2020 I made a set of wall cuffs. I want to release them, but before I do I want to make them snap to the wall properly. That part is posing problems. There are a few considerations here. One is that the cuffs need to clip through the wall. They're designed for use on glass, and you should be able to see the cuff pass through the wall. Which is why snapping them is important to me: these things are a pain to position otherwise. The other consideration is that I can't really move the animation part of the cuffs. I've tried a few things. I tried snapping them to the balcony CPs. That works really well ... ... but only if the wall is above the ground. If it's a ground level then the CPs don't seem to work. I tried using P-WS-Autoplace, but that always puts them with the cuff part against the wall. It's most frustrating: it doesn't matter how I move or rotate the CP, the cuff always ends up touching the wall with zero clippage. I also tried rotating the entire scene. That was weird. I also tried messing around with P-WS-Origin, but that doesn't seem to do anything. The only other thing I can think of is making my own glass wall and adding a custom CP to it. but it would be nice if these things could be used anywhere. Anyone think of anything I've missed?
