bigredd Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 In the Love and Death in Riften story of Amorous Adventures, I'm having a problem with finishing it. After talking to Mjoll and the other girls, I go to kill Aerin in his house. I kill the Hags, but Aerin just refuses to die. Idk if its a mod complication or something I did in the game before going to Aerin, but it's not working. Any ideas that could help me?
Spondooli Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Take my theory with a grain of salt, considering I haven't played for about a year now, but it sounds like he's essential. If you have a mod that changes NPCs that include Aerin he could be essential from that mod. If you don't have a mod that edits him in its .esp to make him essential then there's always the set essential console command to maybe fix it. Type "setessential 00013346 0" (without quotations, of course) in console and then he should die.
Pauduan Posted June 28, 2020 Posted June 28, 2020 There are a few possible solutions, but both the ones I know need mods. The base console command is 'setessential' which you cans use like this: https://skyrimcommands.com/command/setessential You can knock him down with "kill" to check his status, if he keels over but doesn't die he's marked essential. At this point if you use Defeat you can simply kill him from the alternate menu. If you have Manipulator installed you can target him while he's down and change his status on the fly, then hit him again to kill him. If you don;t like the mod method, you can try the console.
