Can't become Thane. Any fixes?

I can't become Thane in any of the holds I've tried so far. I finished the Skooma dealer quest in Riften, the Waking Nightmares quest in Dawnstar, and I read the letter from Jarl Siddgeir in Falkreath, but none of the jarls are giving me the dialogue option to start the quest to become Thane. I thought it might be relationship rank, so I tried changing that in Riften, but the option still didn't appear. Does anyone know any fixes? (Also, in case it's important, my character is level 15,)

At least the Dawnstar Quest to become Thane only appears with lvl 22.

You also find more information about how to become thane in every hold with google.

Inclusive all the bugs and glitches ^^

Download and install USLEEP with option mod manager download, cuz i got that too when install USLEEP using option manual download in nexus (sry bad eng)

I haven't done any of them yet. The trouble is, I can't get to those dialogue options. I've done some of the prerequisite quests, like the Riften skooma dealer, but the Jarl doesn't have the dialogue option to initiate the help people quests. And in Falkreath, the Jarl doesn't have the dialogue to take out the bandit leader beforehand.

I guess that one makes sense then, but IIRC Falkreath didn't have the same restrictions.

I've checked Google and such, but most people tend to only report this problem with one of the jarls, not multiple, and I haven't found any solutions yet.

I'm on Special Edition, and I already have USSEP, so I'm not sure how much USLEEP could really help. Thanks, though.

In Riften you need a player home to become Thane + help ppl

If you never got a note from the courier for an invite the Jarl won't have the dialogue.

If you have a radiant quest of this nature already in your quest log, this option will not appear until you complete that quest.

What I meant from the pre-requisite was that I completed the quest that normally lets you buy the home, but I don't have the option to do so. The steward doesn't have the dialogue to buy Honeyside, and the Jarl doesn't have the dialogue to start the quest.

 

I got the note from the Courier and read it, but the Jarl Siddgeir still didn't have the dialogue. That's actually the reason why I posted here, because I've never seen something like that before.

It happened to me once - had a quest from a bartender or steward to kill someone which was blocking the quest.

oh USSEP, try like i did then download USSEP with option mod manager download, but if still broke well sorry cant help

In Riften you must help the 5 people before you can talk to her about becoming a thane.

Unless you're going to take the route offered by stephenlewis2012, you just have to do all the necessary quests for the local people (afaik, all thaneships require doing "good" for at least three - if not more - citizens, plus doing some jarl quest along the way).

 

I don't think there are any "real" shortcuts (again, aside from the console overrides that stephenlewis2012 offered).
