Hero Mode - How To?

I've been googling around looking for an answer, so its either extremely obvious or I'm just being a baddie.

 

How do I designate a pawn as a hero? I can't find any documentation on it.

When you click on a pawn, there's gonna be a tile with 3-4 options such as: mark for whoring, mark for animal breeding (i think), and somewhere there is gonna be on designated for enabling hero mode on the pawn you selected. It is also should be enabled in RJW settings, and there are some different settings regarding hero mode like - hardcore hero mode and so on.

the decision is supposed to be permanent, but I think there is a way to edit the savefile, don't know how tho

You should open the save file in text editor (I suggest VS Code for this) and find the line 
 

<Hero>True</Hero>

then change "True" to "False"

Yeah I'm either blind or the mod isn't loading correctly because I do NOT see that, everything else seems to working. I see the RJW menu thing in the center but nothing opens when I select a pawn. Is it in a submenu? Do I need to use a shortcut (shift+"something") I'm at a complete loss here.

RJW icon at the bottom (Heart icon) and you can select the pawn there, but you do need to enable hero mode in the RJW mod settings first.
