Customize Win7 Load screen

I came across this nifty little program perusing the internets in boredom.  I used to play around with the load screen a lot in Windows 98 and XP, had a load screen for every day of the week, pretty much, but I haven't really played with the one in 7 that much.  So, in my boredom, I decided to see if I could find something to do it with.  I came across this little program called Windows 7 Boot Updater, and I thought I might share it.

What you can do with it, is replace the animated graphic in 7 with one of your choosing, whether it be a static image, or animated Gif.  Now, that I've found, you can't actually take animated gifs to it straightaway, they have to be extracted frame by frame.  Luckily I already have a program that does this very thing.

http://irfanview.com

What you do with that is open the image, go to options, select extract all frames, select an output directory, pick a file format, and BAM!  you got yourself a ready to go set of frames usable in the boot updater.  You may come across the problem of the animation not lasting throughout the load time, but fret not, all you have to do is copy the images in the directory, then paste them, then go into irfanview, click file, then go to batch conversion/rename.  Browse to the directory of the images, and go into list view, sort by date, select all the images you want to rename, then click add.   You'll see a little subheader on the left side that says name pattern, with image### under it by default. Click the options, and it should be pretty self explanatory.  Before you actually perform the rename, go to the list of files to be renamed, and make sure they're all in the proper order, as that's the order they'll be renamed in.  If any are out of sequence, click on the offending file, and select move up or move down as needed.

You can also customize the text underneath, the background color, and even add a personalized background if you so choose.

A good place to start, for those of us with a dirty mind, is the Animated Gifs thread, though, I went with your basic spinning batman Logo, which I'll append to the thread just cuz I can.

Ok I installed it and works great. Pretty good stuff. Now, there is a little problem, how can I take a screenshoot?

lol you could load up the preview in the program and press print screen.  There's a full screen button at the bottom right hand corner.  Just press print screen and paste it into the image software of your choice.  Here's mine.

o.O I've changed my loading screen 5-6 times over the past few days just for shits and giggles.  Windows hasn't broken yet.
