Enabling modded jewellery for beast races

So, a lot of the best jewellery mods out there just plain...don't enable their items for beast races at all, and I'm not sure what's up with that. Don't all the humanoid races use essentially the same body type? I can understand not enabling head pieces, because the head types of beast races are very different, but...necklaces? Armlets? Bracelets? So many of them just plain don't show up on beast races and I don't understand why. Necklaces I suppose interact with the neck, which is part of the head mesh, but I'd be completely fine with necklaces clipping through the neck a little bit if they'd just plain show up. But they're just entirely absent when equipped.

If there's some sort of easy fix, like going into the CK and messing around with some item settings, or a quick trip into nifskope to edit certain values, I'd be happy to modify the mods for personal use. I've done a fair bit of tinkering with the CK to fine-tune mods before. But I'm not sure what factors influence the items not showing up on beast races. Basically I'm asking people who know more about modding than me to either suggest helpful links or offer advice on how to manually edit these jewellery pieces so that they'll show up on my khajiit female. I don't really care if they clip a bit, I'd just like them to not be completely invisible. If there's anything short of actually refitting the meshes that can be done, I'd be very grateful to hear about it.

(also can I just say: there's a certain kind of irony to jewellery pieces from the Immersive Jewelry mod that are labelled as 'khajiit' neck plates not actually showing up on khajiit.)

edit the "armor addon" with tes5edit, you need to add the race to the "additional races" section.

Thanks for the pointer. Not certain what you mean by the additional races section, though. When I look at a specific item in TES5Edit, [attached] is what I see. I have to confess I've never really used TES5Edit for anything but cleaning mods before, so this is pretty unfamiliar to me.

Any guidance appreciated! Or alternatively referral to a useful learning resource that isn't horribly out of date.

your in "armor" not "armor addon".......but however looking at this screenshot you may want to delete those top 2 armatures before going to the "armor addon" to add the races.

it looks like it's setup to make them equip a chef hat instead of a necklace (but it can't even do that because the body template flags are wrong for a hat).

ahhhh, yes, that would explain it.

I have no idea what's up with the chef hat though ? but i've duly deleted those armatures yes.

Welp, time to edit hundreds of armor addon entries. Thanks for the help!

i've never used that myself, so i don't know if it's any good.

In the end I just manually added the races to the first item and then used the normal TES5Edit 'compare' function to copy the records to all the other items, and that seems to have done the trick. Naturally a lot of the pieces clip through my khajiit's neck but some of them fit really well. Thanks for the pointers! Wouldn't have known to go to TES5Edit before.
