Ah c'mon man.... surely you can think of it in good terms? It was such a LONG trip... and so many little journeys you know? I just can't see myself spoiling the whole because of a few "incidents" you know?

Oh, I know what the "trope" is for the "breath scene". I just don't think they will actually go through with it. I personally think it was just an "easy" way out for people who wanted Shepard to live. I don't think it actually "means" anything for a sequel, but who knows, I could be wrong/

And even then, even if I look outside, I just don't see it. I see it as a sort of "lifeline" for players who wanted him to live, and nothing else. Yes, I see rubble, but just the rubble I'd get if the citadel was blown up and I woke up beside it, which is what happens in the EC. BEAware and their cronies are never going to confirm or deny anything because doing so (deliberate ambiguity) - same as the whole "indoctrination theory bs" - doesn't play to their strengths. They are far better off just not confirming or denying it and letting the userbase destroy itself over it.

As for what if I had started earlier... I am going to be honest and say, I don't know. I mean.. maybe, I think maybe I could have felt angrier. It is definitely possible. If I were in your shoes, and had experienced everything, maybe I would have said ME3 was the worst ever. But I don't know, and maybe I will never know!

Anyway... DAO, yes, I will try it soon... and I can't *wait* till I play DAO 2 and disagree with you all over again  :P

Or who knows, quite possibly we will find common ground! Tune in next and find out  :D

I can absolutely understand what you mean. Yes there were many good points. Very many. Seems we do agree on the Mako at least ^^ But to me everything good is overshadowed by the last 15 min to such a degree that I rue the day I started the franchise. It's an extreme response. Unfortunately for me it's also true. Maybe time will change that, but after 23 months I'm not hopeful.

There will not be more of Shepard. I just thought it was unfair to put such a "trope" for the "breath scene", when there is no chance for any continuation. We will never see what happens after that breath. We can assume based on what we've seen. Yes, I can see it as a lifeline for players wanting to keep Shep alive as well. There were discussions among the writers about "aren't these endings a bit too bleak?", and they inserted the original breath easter egg scene. My problem is that I can't see someone living very long after suffering the injuries Shepard did. Least of all long enough to be rescued from the rubble. (When you pass out from blood loss and then proceed to walk head on into an explosion you're not long for this world)

As to whether or not you'd feel differently if you'd played since 08, it doesn't matter. And I should feel bad for trying to make you feel bad. It's great you had so much fun with the series! I am just jealous since I wish I was in your shoes  ;)

I doubt we'll have any disagreement about DA2 though. Since I enjoyed that game thoroughly, yet somehow I am able to understand why some people hate it while others love it  :P
