EndMe10 Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 Ok, so I was trying to get a new ENB installed(removed an old one). In the process of generating new ini files all my plugins got disabled. After getting everything back in order. I was met with this... https://imgur.com/tmn7P8V and this https://imgur.com/VbsICUN. Yea, it really weird, on top of looking bright the skin seems to change brightness(color?) depending on the lighting, for example any shadowing on the skin creates this weird grey/black mass on the body. It's not purple so I was kinda unsure if this was a missing body texture. Oddly enough though the textures do show up in body slide just fine. At first I thought it was some kind of missing texture so I reinstalled Demoniac (my skin texture of choice), but that didn't work. I should also add that all Female npcs are covered in this including the head, meanwhile this seems to only be a body issue on males. Next I thought I had to manually reinstall the textures, that didn't work either. I then started reinstalling/removing body mods and textures, no luck, I even installed new body textures to see if it would change, same problem. After That i just just removed every body texture from skyrim's data folder, A skin showed up but it wasn't demoniac and also it didn't properly fit on the body,(similar to how a cbbe skin would look distorted in unp armor). I even tried purging and reinstalling the game no fix there either. Maybe it isn't a texture problem? I honestly would be grateful for any help at all thanks in advance. Note this skin glitch affects all skin mods even calientes skin. I resolved it by installing a skin that had an ENB option, it was demonic skin (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/70834). I think the issue came down to sub surface scattering reflecting too much light. It's tricky getting ENB looking right, but so worth it when you figure it out.

I know what you mean though ENB's can get finicky sometimes. Unfortunately, i tried reinstalling demoniac with the subsurface scatter fix, but it didn't work sadly. This problem was still around after I uninstalled the ENB,(maybe i missed something?) and generated new INI's. Buuut... I did find a solution, I admit it might have been a bit extreme, but since the problem kept carrying over I pretty much deleted my data folder. Honestly the amount of hours i put into trying to fix it probably could've been used to just make a new profile with the same mods. After a new install the problem was solved, i did have to go into my mod manager and reinstall a lot of things because of missing textures,(plus more frequent CTD' in my previous saves leads me to think my saves are not salvageable). Its kinda funny because when i did get the ENB to work it was messed up probably because of a bad install and pretty much reverted to real vision because I was tired of it. Honestly their probably was a better way, but I was done. Word of warning to anybody having the same problem I hope you backup your ini's and your skyrim folder before working with ENB's.

Looking at those images now, that is not the same enb issue I was thinking of. The hands and face were fine. The hand seams are separate problem. What Mod Manager are you using? It's not ideal to nuke your data directory, but I've been there.
