JDems21 Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 For those that saw my previous post, this is a new problem. I installed FNIS through MO2 but when I try to RunGenerateFNISforUsers.exe I keep getting the same two warnings. FNIS Behavior V7.6 XXL 4/25/2020 5:21:34 PM Generator: C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\ModOrganizer\NewSkyrim\mods\Fores New Idles in Skyrim - FNIS\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\GenerateFNISforUsers.exe >>Warning: Bad installation. Generator not run from <Skyrim_Data>\Tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users. If you use a mod manager, run FNIS from its list of supported tools.<< Skyrim 32bit: ??.??.?? - D:\Games\SteamLibrary2\steamapps\common\Skyrim\ (Steam) >>Warning: Expected generator path: D:\Games\SteamLibrary2\steamapps\common\Skyrim\data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users not found<< Since most of the mods I want use or require FNIS I'm worried that this won't allow it to run while I play. Is this something I should be worried about and if so, how can I fix it?
srayesmanll Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Read the instructions for running FNIS through Mod Organizer (there is a link to the STEP instruction in my sig). You cannot just run the exe directly.
JDems21 Posted April 26, 2020 Author Posted April 26, 2020 I have done that. It seems to need to connect through C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\ModOrganizer\NewSkyrim\mods\Fores New Idles in Skyrim - FNIS\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\GenerateFNISforUsers.exe as opposed to my games folder which is in the D:\Games\SteamLibrary2\steamapps\common\Skyrim\data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users When I originally installed Steam and Skyrim it was on the C drive, but I uninstalled everything from there and created a new library in my games folder on the D drive. If I connect it to the D drive as above when I run FNIS from MO2 I get an empty white box with the message: Error 2001 Application-defined or object-defined error.
