Applying a texture with oufit studio

I am trying to change over my player and using HDT SMP and I found a body that uses physics. The mod author suggest using a certain texture. I have the texture but not

sure how to use Outfit Studio to do this.  I can use bodyslide with no problem but I get lost in Outfit Studio. After I have my body in Bodyslide ready to go, I can hit the tab

that opens it up in Outfit Studio but after that I am lost. I know there are five tabs on the right hand side but not sure which one to use. Thanks.

Install the new Body then install the new skin texture.

That should be it.

 

Unless you are using a custom race then just replace the custom races texture files manually.

 

I've never needed to use OS to apply a custom texture to a race but to do it, open the body mesh, right click on the shape over to the right. Select Properties from the context menu that opens, then click on textures.

You can change the paths here but it's the game that decides what texture files are used. If it's a custom race then you would need to edit the .esp for that race.
