Free Cam doesnt always work

I will have scenes start and there is no free cam.  Using console command will just reset the view to center but not turn on the free cam

 

I've done some experimenting and there doesnt seem to be any rhyme or reason. It doesnt seem to be based on partner or location or animation since sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. I have enabled/disable the auto option in Sexlab and that doesnt resolve it. 

 

I had Immersive First person installed and thought maybe that was the culprit but the issue persists after uninstalling it. 

 

 

Update:  I dont know if this the cause or even possible but another post was discussing FG and camera issues . FG never occurred to me, Checked and it has its own Free Cam option. The hot key was set to ~ either by design or me by accident. I reassigned to an open key. I haven't had the issue for a few hours. So dont know if its just coincidence or if I fixed it
