Vampire quest problem

Hi all,

 

I have the bug, when vampires don't recognize me as Vampire in the Bloodstone Chalice quest, while I'm in human form. They all just say rude things (they behave like my character is human) instead of advancing the quest.

 

Now the funny part is, that when I change into Vampire Lord, everyone becomes hostile.

 

Another major issue is, that it seems the Human and Vampire Lord races are jumbled - I can't feed in Human form (sneak to a sleeping human and Activate it brings up the pickpocket only). I can talk in VL form and I can feed on sleeping humans too. AFAIK it should be the other way around: I should be able to Feed in Human form, and I shouldn't be able to talk in VL form.

 

I have these installed:

USEEP

Sacrosanct v515

Racecompatibility with support for Sacrosanct.

Player Succubus Quest (disabled during vampire/werewolf. I list it here because it has a body transformation feature.)

Human Vampire lord, Default and Redguard (i tried both and without this mod entirely)

 

Basically I disabled all of these (I did not uninstall them) with the exception of Racecompatibility and still, the vampire NPCs behave like I wrote above: in human form they think I'm human, if I change to Vampire Lord, they become hostile.

 

Any idea?

I'm just replying because this is the top search result on Duck Duck Go so someone else might find this.  There is either a custom race issue or you got bugged when you spoke w/ Harkon and aggo'd everyone when you changed form. Its a very simple fix. Just console player.setrace [yourrace]racevampire. in my case it was ygnordracevampire.   That should fix it.

 

I would do racemenu and export the head or create a preset before you do so, Then you can import that back in if you dont like your new vampire features.

It was months ago, but as I remember, I completely had to go back before the vampire questline and not become vampire to fix it. I think the bug is caused by Player Succubus Quest, which also has a body transformation. So Dawnguard FTW! (which I also didn't play, because now I have too much completed quests and ongoing quests are disappearing from Journal).

Had the exact same thing happen to me. The character I intended to become a Vampire would not be recognized as one. Everyone except Harkon in Volkihar was hostile towards me after turning into the Vampire Lord the first time. I'm using Better Vampires and even disabling every mod that had anything to do with Vampires and/or races didn't fix it.
Starting a new character that immediately begins his/her journey as Vampire thanks to Live another Life works fine however. Although sometimes I can't feed and then 1 minute later I'm suddenly able to do it.
