how do i give my sims the poly trait via command?

i want to create my poly family but every were i look they just say "give them the poly trait" but no were says how to do so.

If you are referring to the polyamorous, you should be able to buy it from the prize traits. If you use MCCommand, there should be a code for reward points

 

If it doesn't exist

 

Open the cheat console by pressing CTRL + MAIUSC + C

Type in the cheat console 'testingcheats true' to give access to the following cheats. Press ENTER

After entering the 'testingcheats true' cheat, enter the following cheat in the cheat console to add a total of satisfaction points.

sims.give_satisfaction_points [number] press ENTER
Example: sims.give_satisfaction_points 5000 (adds 5000 points to be used in the reward shop)

You can also use the More CAS Traits mod.  It has 2 features - 1 package to allow more than the standard cas traits, and another to add the traits through the in-game menu..
