I actually did not run into this problem.  

 

But I used GIMP and these are my import & export settings.

 

Noticed how I unchecked "Load mipmaps" on import and set to "Generate mipmaps" on export.

yea its different on PS. Still couldn't fix the color

Do you have a link to the gimp add ons? I'll just redownload gimp again just for this, its not like I have to pay for something that I rarely use like PS haha
