How exactly do I make a preset in CBBE, I can't figure out how to save it and where

I can't seem to be able to find where to save my preset so that I can use it in bodyslide

You create and save the preset in bodyslide, Save As should let you select what "groups" the preset is saved to.

I'm feeling a case of deja vu here.

 

You don't export the preset and bodyslide doesn't fix outfits.

 

You use Bodyslide to build bodyslide compatible outfits to as a body preset.

If the armour/clothes/outfit you have is not/are not  bodyslide one(s) then you can't build them with any preset.

I think you mean Outfit Studio... right ?

 

because body presets are made in bodyslide, you can use the preset you made to apply it to outfits by selecting an outfit with your preset and then click "build" or batch build to build more than one outfit.

 

But if you're trying to fix some clipping on an outfit then you need to use either outfit studio or tweak you body preset.

 

If you still don't get it then you should spend more time reading bodyslide's mod page or look for guides on youtube.
