Dorabella Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 Well I got tired of starting from a prison So I found an alternative Realm of Lorkhan - Freeform Alternate Start - LE The place is very nice, you can wander around, collect various types of objects, decide from which point of the game to start and bla bla bla. This raises a question: Inspecting the map, we are faced with a series of activators (see screen). Here we can improve some aspects of our character such as classes with related benefits (D&D Style). How can I view this class sheet if the card is not there? By opening the alternative Racemenu, we can only view parameters related to the various races, but not to the character in question The mod only says that the various classes can be combined Spoiler These are customized permanent buffs that you may choose to add to your character. They use the same dynamic as Boons and Curses, and can be found at the same place. You can choose any number of classes, combining them as you wish (eg. Mage + Knight = Battlemage). These are entirely optional, but I find that they help when going for a particular style of play.Personally I pick two classes, and then balance my game down by using other mods that increase difficulty in other ways. I always try and leave with at least 1 curse. Here are the classes:- Class: Acrobat (+5% movement speed, +20% melee damage reflected to enemies, +20% stamina regeneration)- Class: Agent (Buy and sell prices are 10% better. Bribes are 20% cheaper.)- Class: Arcane Smith (Tempering improves weapons and armor by 30% more. Enchantments you make are 20% stronger.)- Class: Archer (+10% attack speed, +20% time slowdown during aiming)- Class: Barbarian (+30 natural armor, regenerate health in combat, +20% health regeneration)- Class: Bard (+10% critical chance, +10 speech power [not fortify])- Class: Commoner (Start with 50 less health, magicka, and stamina)- Class: Healer (+20 restoration power [not fortify], +20 alchemy power [not fortify])- Class: Knight (+20% health regeneration, +20% magic resist against hostile spells)- Class: Mage (+100 magicka, +20% magicka regeneration) Spoiler I installed this other one (also recommended) . Character Creation Overhaul but there is no trace of this alleged card
Homonculus Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 I'm guessing what you see in the pic below is all you should be seing when hovering over each activators, there is no "card", besides you can already tell what each class does by simply reading your first spoiler. Spoiler
Dorabella Posted March 26, 2020 Author Posted March 26, 2020 To activate they activate without problems. Is the card purely virtual?
Myst42 Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 Been using it for a couple of months already. It's very nice, and much prettier than the prison. Only downside is Alternate Start had deeper storytelling choices such as starting on a guild, but I can live without it since the location choice still allows for some storytelling chances in that regard. It also bothers me that the "character classes" are set up as "temporary buffs" though technically, they last forever (I'm not sure if they autocast when over, or you just have to get them again), but I got them dispelled at least once by reading the elder scrolls at the dawnguard quest. No big deal, still cen be re-added by visiting the realm again, but if it was me, I'd have done it as permanent abilities that wont get dispelled instead. Again, no big deal, it's just a personal itch. In case it's not clear, yeah, that's how you choose character class, go to an altas, activate it, and you get the magic effects from it with a very long timer.
Homonculus Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 i don't get it what card are you referring to ? even the mod description doesn't mention any card, the bottom text below "E" Activate is all there is to it.

Some people have been reporting that getting arrested and sent to prison removes your stats classes etc... using timers for all those perks wasn't a very bright idea lel

The one highlighted on the screens, I expected to find it Character Creation Overhaul Not that this is of any significant importance, it is fair for clarification 6 minutes ago, Myst42 said: In case it's not clear, yeah, that's how you choose character class, go to an altas, activate it, and you get the magic effects from it with a very long timer. So, I should find the active powers in Player Menu> spell> active power right?
Homonculus Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 If you really care about classes, character development i suppose you could try sticking with Alternate start and using something like this: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/24808/ that mod authors other mods in combination with this one is probably the best compilation of mods for character creation i think...

No, you go to the altars in the realm, near the pool and activate the ones you want. They're like divines blessings at vanilla temples, but they last way longer. EDIT: Sorry, I misread you. Yes, you find the active magic effects listed on your effects lists once you get a boon.
