How do you make an NPC your lover?

I'm using:

Sexlab

Amorous Adventures

Eager Npcs

Arousal Redux

 

All for SE and I want to know how do I raise my followers relationship to lover? Like Lydia, I completed the amorous adventures quest with her, had sex with her multiple times etc. and she still won't become my lover?

 

I looked in the Eager Npcs mod menu and Lydia is still rank 3 (Ally)

 

 

What really bugs me is that in a previous playthrough I randomly got the notification "Lydia has become your lover" with the trumpet sound effect while banging her, and I didn't even do the amorous adventures quest for her.

You're trying to mix two separate mods.  Eager NPCs uses the vanilla rank system but has its own chance based increase mechanism. 

 

AA uses its own internal system and it should have no effect on Eager at all.

But then why am I not able to grow relation ship status with anyone after I finish lydias amorous adventure quest?

IF you are using the SLEN dialog option to have sex with her, check the MCM and see what difficulty you've set for the increases. It will get harder the higher you go, and it is chance based so you might just have a long string of bad luck.

 

You have talked about raising Lydia's rank and a follower's rank, so I think you're talking about 2 different NPCs. Doing the AA quests have nothing to do with anything, and the only other suggestion I can make is double checking that SLEN was convered to SSE correctly.

 

Can you raise the rank of anyone else from 1 to 2 or 2 to 3?  Remember followers will generally start at 3 when you recruit them so if you look at an NPC and have a 1 and then recruit them, they will be 3 without any increases.

Ok so I checked everything you said, the difficulty is Adept, which is default.

 

Also I think your right Amorous adventures didn't do anything, but for some reason I can't make any follower my lover and I've tried having sex with each of them 10+ times, I made a new game and ran threw it and I got lydia to be my lover after 3 trys, I think something broke the mod in that save or I accidentally disabled some setting, but none of the settings look abnormal to me

Adept will certainly make it harder, but I don't see how AA would influence SLEN at all.  Possibly something with SLEN was broken if you had been playing a while but I'd say try lowering the difficulty to novice and try some more... if you want.

@LLabUser999-There are 2 versions of Amorous Adventures. One that uses Flower Girls animations and one that uses SexLab. They are both using a relationship ranking system that is separate from the Skyrim Vanilla system. (e.g. one can use the console to raise relationship rank for any NPC but that does nothing for Eager NPC's nor Amorous Adventures). I generally use [SLEN] dialogues to make a Jarls status change to "friend" status in order to simplify the quest for Thane easier. (and also to gain points toward killing Dragons awarding the "Thrill" shout) - Maybe using [SLEN] dialogues would work better for you if you try a variation from the available choices offered, i.e. "Whatever you desire", followed by other choices from the list. (everyone likes a bit of something else) - Make sure your "Speechcraft" Skill is high enough (even using console commands like "player.incpcs speechcraft" many times will help) - The AA and SLEN systems will not make marriage possible, just different stages of "attraction" for increasing choice of sexual choices. - In some of my playthroughs I use AA-Sexlab version as the choice of animations can be more varied (i.e. using a Chair or Throne etc...) and other times I use the AA-FG version along with Animation selector for Flower Girls to have more control over choice of animation. - Remember, they are using 3 separate systems to denote relationship rank for their own internal use. (technically they are using "factions" that the vanilla system doesn't use) - a SLEN or AA-FG "lover" cannot be married but a Vanilla "lover" can. {TIP, use [SLEN] dialogues on a bandit and even they can be "wooed" into changing status to "friend" for these purposes, but they will still be seen as "enemies" by the Vanilla System and will attack you after sex - LOL)}
