[Request/Feature Suggestion] Import and Export settings for various Lovers plugins

I've been playing around with getting my Oblvion game setup just right a lot lately, which has had me re-installing things several times, and seen a couple upgrades to favorite mods in the last week, and it got me wondering if such a thing were doable. Could Lovers with PK, the core, have an added button to click to export or import the settings to/from a .txt file? How about Joburg and LoversRapers? It can be such a pain to get the settings just how you like them again, I'm sure many of you would agree. This kind of a feature could really take some of the pain out of upgrading to new version off a clean save.

I'm not a modder, however, so I've no idea personally, but maybe someone much more knowledgeable out there would be able to at least let me know if it's possible.

Many mods have .ini files where settings are saved in. RaperS does, and I think SlaveTrader does too. I don't think you can export/save settings to your .ini files, but you can "import" them.

(They'll be loaded when you first load the mod, I think. Not all have a "reset from ini" option, but I'm pretty sure that RaperS does.)

The .ini settings would have to be added by the mods themselves, and not by the core file. At least, not without parts of the mods and the core being re-written.

Joburg also an ini for the core settings and you can also make custom ini files to load in your libido settings on the fly in game.

As to the core files, probably not going to ever happen unless you take it up yourself.  There are very few coders that are still doing anything with lovers.  Most have move on to FNV or are working on getting a working system for skyrim.

It would be possible to add, it would make the relevant plugins dependant on Pluggy.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this is not an issue as Lovers itself is already dependant on Pluggy? At least, it is listed as a step in the Installation FAQ.

Put it on the wishlist for my version of RaperS, though the list is rather long right now with all the ideas coming in after 1.60 release.

No, the core lovers with pk plugins do not need pluggy.  A few like PK extender and pretty much all of the Tamago club plugins do however.

It is listed in the FAQ mainly due to folks skipping installing it for the plugins that it was needed for and installing it won't hurt them.  Similar to the silent voice plugin.

It's true, the .ini files stay there. I guess that's good enough for most uses, I had some extreme 'revert to backup Data folder' moments (mostly with all that missing body nonsense, but also with some non-Lovers mods) in getting this build together, and that made me think of it.

And don't talk to me about Skyrim! Skyrim ran just fine for me on (tweaked) ultra settings from release until patch 1.4.26 (I think it was that...around last March) and since then I've had nothing but stability problems. To top it off, NMM 0.41.0 is simply refusing to install mods (crashes 'on completion' consistently), and even reverting to 0.4.0, which WAS working, now has the same problem. I'm just going to wait for Dragonborn to go on sale on Steam before trying to get it all going again, from a complete purge and reinstall.

But I digress/vent... :P

Ooo! NMM 0.42.1 has several crash fixes! :D Let's see if one of them is mine...
