Dilios300 Posted March 4, 2020 Posted March 4, 2020 Mod Links : Art of Magicka mod - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1040?tab=description / Agnusthemagi Bodyslide Conversions - The Art of Magicka and more - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/62784?tab=description&BH=2 I got an issue with the witch elf armor. Specifically the chest piece. It looks ingame as if its missing its texture, and despite a number of different things that I tried, I cant get it to work. Soon as I turn off the BodySlide generated files, it goes back to its original UNP state with working textures. I have the main and update file installed from both the original mod, and the second one with the bodyslide files. And before anyone asks, yes, I have the esm and esp enabled.I musta spent the past 4 hours on this, and I'm stumped. What is it that I'm doing wrong?

It'd be nice if you included the actual name of the files you are talking about since things change over time. But from what I can see, "the second one with the bodyslide files" is not BS files for the "The Art Of Magika" mod, it's just the "Eilhart Dress HDT" BS files. - unrelated to the witch elf armor you are talking about. The witch elf mesh chest piece, "Top_1.nif " is looking for textures in: c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\data\textures\armor\witchelf\witchelfcuirass.dds , which is wrong (based on one's install location), it should be just : textures\armor\witchelf\witchelfcuirass.dds . "Top_0.nif" has it correctly EXCEPT the textures for the original mod are located in: "textures\art of magic\WitchElf" . That's your problem. So you can fix the "pathing" in either Outfit Studio or NifSkope. I would suggest you also look this over... ...and perhaps make up your own BodySlide files.

Corrected the mod links. Apologies, it was late and I kinda just rushed through making the post. 5 hours ago, C5Kev said: But from what I can see, "the second one with the bodyslide files" is not BS files for the "The Art Of Magika" mod, it's just the "Eilhart Dress HDT" BS files. - unrelated to the witch elf armor you are talking about. Take a closer look at the bodyslide files by Agnusthemagi, it includes the witch elf files. It shows up in bodyslide, and the armor ingame has had its shape changed. On the subject of the nif files, I already checked the texture paths and re-routed them in Nifskope to point to - what I think - are the correct path. Didnt help. I also noticed that a lot of people that used Agusthemagi's mod also had the same problem. It might be best to make my own bodyslide files, but I rather at least try to get his files working first b4 I try something like that.
C5Kev Posted March 5, 2020 Posted March 5, 2020 All you needed to do was look at your "textures\art of magic\WitchElf" directory to find the correct texture path, then change your BodySlide files accordingly... Oh, BTW, you'll need to change the nif paths for each color in "Data\CalienteTools\BodySlide\ShapeData".
Dilios300 Posted March 5, 2020 Author Posted March 5, 2020 Alright lemme try doing it through BodySlide itself then. I'll edit with the results in a bit. EDIT : Alright, it worked. I didnt need to change the nif paths in ShapeData, but everything seems to be ok now. Odd, cause one of the first things that I did yesterday is open up the nif and redirect it to point to the correct textures.... Not gonna complain tho. Thanks for the help... I think....

That's your choice, but it's silly not too - if you want to use BodySlide to make new parts at some time in the future or for a diff. body preset. Otherwise you'll have to go through all this again. ALWAYS change ONLY the ShapeData nifs. NifSkope or OS, same result. There is only one path to one texture.
