Newb@Bewbs Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Here is how boring I really am - I just thought I would see what Shakespear had to say about this thing called love - he always has a way of making me ponder through his words tho confused I come out somehwat enlightened when it is all over - no credit to me other than to think of googling this crap - and it sounds like crap - but it does have some truth for sure --jaz Let me not to the marriage of true mindsAdmit impediments. Love is not loveWhich altereth when it alteration findeth,Or bendeth with the remover to remove:O no! it is an ever-fixed markThat looketh on tempests and is never shaken; It is the star to every wandering bark,Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeksWithin his bending sickle's compass come:Love altereth not with his brief hours and weeks,But beareth it out even to the edge of doom.If this be error and upon me proved,I never writ, nor no man ever loved. The meaning of the phrase in question, "Love is not live which altereth when it alteration findeth" simply means that it's not REALLY love if it changes when it encounters difficulties. This poem is eloquently showing how divorce makes a mockery of the wedding vows, which pledge unconditional love.Shakespeare itemizes what people who are really in love do not do: they don't change. Their love remains strong even when they face difficult situations. Along the same line, he describes what true love IS: it's constant, unmovable, reliable. It's not weakend by difficulty or hard times.
Origamiboy Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Love is when its so easy to talk someone, and not so fucking awkward. Love is when you can talk about everything and everything with a person. Love is when you can do all that and have sex with them.
Dude500X Posted February 11, 2013 Author Posted February 11, 2013 This has been quite an educational experience learning all these different view points. Perhaps it is not a thing to be feared after all. Hmm, makes me rethink my life in its current state Lol.
Guest Plastrader Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 What if someone actually managed to define love? I mean a proper solid definition, no loop holes or lose ends. Love = This defintion. Period. What would the song writers do??

Love is when you can talk about everything and everything with a person. Love is when you can do all that and have sex with them. that could be friendship, too. to my opinion, that's impossible, to talk about everything with a beloved person. some topics need to bee discussed with a friend.
Remy Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 To me true love is a state of mind, where the form/gender/race/body/whatever doesnt matter, you can just sit in a corner all your life and still be filled with love..."love" that is based on gender/body or other differences is just a chemical process in my opinion.

gamertech100 Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Love... Is when your willing to give your heart to someone and trust that they won't break it. When you've been in love 10 years a go now, it's not the sex that you remember the most... it's the way she looked that day when you went to the ocean, and the way the wind felt when you held her in your arms. Memories
Tarath Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Love... Is when your willing to give your heart to someone and trust that they won't break it. When you've been in love 10 years a go now, it's not the sex that you remember the most... it's the way she looked that day when you went to the ocean, and the way the wind felt when you held her in your arms. Memories Uh huh Nostalgia + Love is one of the most powerful, yet aching conjunction of emotions yearning for the past. But damn, do they feel good to have experienced such stuff.
Emily Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Emily heard that male are no longer interested in sex once they hit 30 y.o. and start balding. And their terminology abot love changes drasticly.
AgentChicken Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Love is the feeling when you drink that third beer and you fall onto the ground and hold on for you life so you don't fall off the face of the earth. All seriousness, what is love? Baby don't hurt me...don't hurt me...No more!
NalfeinDoUrden Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Love is the connection you feel with someone that is close enough that you can confide in them with complete confidence, irrespective of sexual feelings. Being IN Love however, is something completely different.
