[REQUEST] Need help/tutorials for Nifksope + Blender ... Changing Upperbody Meshes

I'd like to know if Nifskope allows us to change the (HGEC) upperbody mesh of an armor to something else? As a general example, let's say I have a NIF file of an armor using the A-cup upperbody mesh. I'd like to change that to a D-cup. Everything else about the armor stays the same. Can this be done with Nifskope alone?

Honestly, I tried messing around a bit and it seemed like I managed to do a quick-and-dirty job of swapping upperbody meshes. I loaded up the upperbody mesh that I wanted in Nifskope, exported it as an OBJ file, and imported the OBJ file back into the actual armor mod that I wanted to convert. It does appear in Nifskope but without textures, however, I can fix it easily by just pointing the texture path to the correct one. Saved. Done. So what's the problem? The problem is ingame... The rest of the armor looks fine but the upperbody mesh is invisible!

How do I fix this? Was there something that I forgot to do? Do I need to use Blender instead of Nifskope? If so, does anyone have an UPDATED tutorial?

Thanks! :)

I wouldn't try to alter a skinned (physiqued) mesh that way.

You want Blender and Nifscripts. Import the Nif into Blender, alter the mesh there and re-export as a new Nif.

I have also encounter this same problem; I believe it is either Nifskope or Oblivion limitation. After I repeated what you did it created Scene Root:0. That is your problem right there, unless it is Scene Root 0, it gets skipped over. Messing around with the branch options does not help in anyway. To fix it you need Blender. To only change the body type of an armor follow these steps.

1. Import the armor using the setting in Settings 1.

2. Right click on the skeleton and delete it. Do the same for the upper body meshes.

3. Import the new upper body meshes using the setting in Settings 1.

4. Delete the skeleton. Then import a new skeleton using the settings in Settings 2.

5. Select all (a on the keyboard) and export as a nif file using the settings in settings 3. Then import into Nifskope to fix any texture path difference.

6. ???

7. Profit
