The Pack Legacy Challenge

This is a spin on the Legacy challenge that I've been working on for a bit - and that I'm planning to spice up a bit using Wicked Whims etc. So I thought I'd post it here in case anyone else wanted to try it and so that you guys could come up with WW rules ;) 

 

This Legacy challenge is formatted so that each generation contains rules representing the contents of a certain pack - in order of their release. If you don't own all the packs, skip those generations. If you run out of packs, the challenge either ends or you can start it all over again.

 

General rules

  • You must start your legacy with a YA sim in a new save file. No parents/siblings may be created.
  • You are not allowed to cheat your starting funds; you must buy a lot/house using those funds.
  • After purchasing a home, set your funds to $1000.
  • You are not allowed to keep your Sim from producing children until they age up into an adult.
  • Once the child you have made your heir ages up into a YA, you may start working on their goals even if you still have to do stuff for your previous matriarch/patriarch.
  • Once one generation is complete, move out your heir to a new lot. You are allowed to give them a third of the old family's funds.
  • Old households must be set as "unplayed" and allowed to do whatever they want.
  • Aging must be set to Normal. You are not allowed to use mechanics to keep sims from aging/dying.
  • If you use Seasons from the start, you must set the time to either 7 or 14 days per season.

Generation 1: Outdoor Retreat

This generation's sim must follow the following rules:

  • Must live in any of the following worlds throughout the generation: Willow Creek, Oasis Springs or Newcrest
  • Must vacation at least three times to Granite Falls – and elope during one of these times
  • Must conceive at least one child in a tent
  • Must complete the Outdoor Enthusiast aspiration
  • Must have one of the following traits: loves the outdoors, squeamish
  • Must have at least one outfit set as a Bear Costume

 

Generation 2: Get To Work

This generation's sim must follow the following rules:

  • Must live in any of the following worlds throughout the generation: Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, Newcrest or Magnolia Promenade
  • Must complete a Base Game aspiration
  • Must have at least 2 Base Game traits
  • Must reach Level 10 as a doctor, scientist or detective
  • Must have form a romantic relationship with at least one alien
    • Heir must be human and must therefore be conceived with someone who is not an alien
  • Optional: May own a business lot after reaching level 10 of chosen career

 

Generation 3: Spa Day

This generation's sim must follow the following rules:

  • Must live in any of the following worlds throughout the generation: Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, Newcrest or Magnolia Promenade
  • Must complete a Base Game aspiration
  • Must have at least 2 Base Game traits
  • Must meet people to conceive children with at the spa
  • Must reach Level 10 of the Wellness skill
  • Must conceive at least two children in a sauna

 

Generation 4: Spooky Stuff

This generation's sim must follow the following rules:

  • Must live in any of the following worlds throughout the generation: Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, Newcrest or Magnolia Promenade
  • Must complete a Base Game aspiration
  • Must have at least 2 Base Game traits
  • Must conceive at least three children while hosting Spooky Parties
  • Must have at least two outfits set as costumes

 

Generation 5: Get Together

This generation's sim must follow the following rules:

  • Must live in Windenburg throughout the generation
  • Must be the leader of a club (you may join an existing club and take over as leader, or create your own club)
  • Must conceive at least one child through the use of the Woohoo Bush
  • Must complete the Leader of the Pack aspiration
  • Must have at least one of the following traits: Dance Machine, Insider
  • Must accept all party invites until they become an adult

 

Generation 6: Dine Out

This generation's sim must follow the following rules:

  • Must live in any of the following worlds throughout the generation: Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, Newcrest, Magnolia Promenade or Windenburg

  • Must own a restaurant and get it to 5 stars (you may also have another career)

  • Must complete a Base Game aspiration

  • Must be in a relationship with at least three of your employees

  • Must marry a restaurant guest at the restaurant

 

Generation 7: Backyard Stuff

This generation's sim must follow the following rules:

  • Must live in any of the following worlds throughout the generation: Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, Newcrest, Magnolia Promenade or Windenburg

  • Must complete a Base Game aspiration

  • Must host backyard parties once per week to find your love/lovers (if you have Seasons installed while playing this generation, you may turn off possible weather induced deaths during the parties)

  • Must get married during a backyard party

  • Must use the barbecue to cook food for your family

 

Generation 8: City Living

This generation's sim must follow the following rules:

  • Must live in San Myshuno throughout the generation

  • Must attend the five festivals at least once each

  • Must reach level 10 as a Critic, Politician or Social Media personality

  • Must complete the City Native aspiration

  • Must have at least one of the following traits: Unflirty, Vegetarian

  • Must get married and conceive a child during the Romance Festival

 

Generation 9: Vintage Glamour Stuff

This generation's sim must follow the following rules:

  • Must live in any of the following worlds throughout the generation: Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, Newcrest, Magnolia Promenade, Windenburg or San Myshuno

  • Must complete the Mansion Baron aspiration

  • Must marry your first love and have at least two children with them

  • Must hire a butler – and enter a relationship with them after having two children with your spouse

  • If your sim gets pregnant with the butler, they must divorce their previous spouse and lose touch with previous children. Only children produced with the butler will then be eligible as heirs

 

Generation 10: Vampires

This generation's sim must follow the following rules:

  • Must live in Forgotten Hollow throughout the generation
  • Must become a vampire
  • Must reach the Grand Master Vampire level
  • Must complete one of the following aspirations: Vampire Family, Master Vampire, Good Vampire
  • Must find your Vampire Mate and have at least one Vampire child
  • Must have at least one human “minion” to feed from – and breed at least one human child (your heir) with

 

Generation 11: Parenthood

This generation's sim must follow the following rules:

  • Must live in any of the following worlds throughout the generation: Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, Newcrest, Magnolia Promenade, Windenburg, San Myshuno or Forgotten Hollow

  • Must maximize the Parenting Skill

  • Must complete the Super Parent aspiration

  • Must marry the first person you get pregnant with and stay faithful to them, regardless of their behavior (think of the children!)

  • Must volunteer with your family every time a child ages up into a teen

  • Must make sure your heir maximizes at least 3 of the character values

 

Generation 12: Cats and Dogs

This generation's sim must follow the following rules:

  • Must live in Brindleton Bay throughout the generation

  • Must own at least one cat and at least one dog during his/her lifetime

  • Must own a vet clinic (does not have to be your main job)

  • Must maximize the veterinarian skill

  • Must complete the Friend of the Animals aspiration

  • Must conceive at least two children at the Lighthouse

 

Generation 13: Jungle Adventure

This generation's sim must follow the following rules:

  • Must live in any of the following worlds throughout the generation: Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, Newcrest, Magnolia Promenade, Windenburg, San Myshuno, Forgotten Hollow or Brindleton Bay

  • Must vacation in Selvadorada at least 3 times during their generation

  • Must vacation in Selvadorada right after moving out – and marry someone on your first night there

  • Must complete one of the following aspirations: Jungle Explorer, Archeology Scholar

  • Must reach level 10 of the archeology skill

  • During your third vacation in Selvadorada (can be early or late in the generation), you must meet someone new and have a child with them. You may or may not end your previous relationship and move in with your new beau
  • Optional: May have skeletons helping out around the house

 

Generation 14: Seasons

This generation's sim must follow the following rules:

  • Must live in any of the following worlds throughout the generation: Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, Newcrest or Magnolia Promenade, Windenburg, San Myshuno, Forgotten Hollow, Brindleton Bay

  • Must reach level 10 as a Gardener

  • Must conceive at least one child in a leaf pile

  • Must have at least one child with Patchy

  • Must make all your children join the Scouts

  • Must get married (at least once) during a holiday party

 

Generation 15: Get Famous

This generation's sim must follow the following rules:

  • Must live in Del Sol Valley throughout the generation

  • Must reach level 10 as an Actor

  • Must complete one of the following aspirations: World-Famous Celebrity, Master Actor

  • Must have the Self-Absorbed trait

  • Must make all your children join the Drama Club

  • Must conceive one child in a money vault

  • Must marry, have at least one child with and divorce another celebrity

 

Generation 16: StrangerVille

This generation's sim must follow the following rules:

  • Must live in StrangerVille throughout the generation
  • Must complete the StrangerVille Mystery aspiration
  • Must have the Paranoid trait
  • Must reach level 10 of the Military career
  • Must have a romantic relationship with at least one person who becomes Possessed
  • Must have a bad relationship with your heir

 

Generation 17: Island Living

This generation's sim must follow the following rules:

  • Must live in Sulani throughout the generation

  • Must reach level 10 as a Conservationist

  • Must marry someone with a part-time job and have at least two children with them

  • Must have at least one child with a mermaid (if a mermaid this child cannot be made heir)

  • Must complete the Beach Life aspiration

  • Must have at least one of these traits: Child of the Islands, Child of the Ocean

 

Generation 18: Moschino Stuff (only if you also have Get Famous)

This generation's sim must follow the following rules:

  • Must live in any of the following worlds throughout the generation: Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, Newcrest, Magnolia Promenade, Windenburg, San Myshuno, Forgotten Hollow, Brindleton Bay, Del Sol Valley, StrangerVille or Sulani

  • Must join the Freelance Fashion Photographer career. You are not allowed to earn money through any other side career

  • Must be in a relationship with at least five hired models – but never become boyfriend/girlfriend. Children conceived with models are not eligible as heirs

  • Must find a way to become at least a 3-star celebrity and earn the “stan” quirk (quirk can be added through cheats)

  • Must marry someone marked as your “stan” and have at least one child (your heir) with them, but continue to be unfaithful

 

Generation 19: Realm of Magic

This generation's sim must follow the following rules:

  • Must live in Glimmerbrook throughout the generation

  • Must become a spellcaster

  • Must complete one of the following aspirations: Spellcraft & Sorcery, Purveyor of Potions

  • Must discover all spells within one category (practical, mischief or untamed)

  • Must be in a relationship with at least one normal sim and one Spellcaster throughout your lifetime

  • If the heir is born a spellcaster, they must complete the Rite Of Dissolution before starting the next generation

 

 

Generation 20: Discover University

This generation's sim must follow the following rules:

  • Must complete studies in Britechester before being allowed to move to any other world

  • Must live at for at least one semester in a dorm

  • Must study at least 3 classes each semester

  • Must reach level 10 in Education, Engineer or Law (save time by carefully choosing your major!)

  • Must have a relationship with at least two roommates

  • Must get pregnant at least once while studying

  • Must conceive at least one child in a shower

 

Optional Generation: X

This generation can be played at the end of your previous run. This generation's sim must follow the following rules:

 

  • Must live in Willow Creek or Oasis Springs throughout the generation
  • Must complete a Base Game aspiration
  • Must have 3 Base Game traits
  • Must reach Level 10 in a Base Game career (Freelance Careers are not allowed)
  • Must marry someone they have known since childhood
