Du8i0us Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 Hey, I thought of a simple thing, that would improve Sexlab Defeats immersion immensely. How hard would it be to trigger dialogue and expressions when you choke out/knockdown an NPC? Currently, they have no expression nor dialogue at all when knocked down. You can put an NPC in a bag, abduct them, strip them naked and tie them up in various positions. And they don't really react or seem to bothered at all. It kills my immersion. They play an expression when you strip them, but that's about it. I know expressions can be applied manually... but each manual change breaks immersion. I imagine them entering either the combat or flee state upon being knocked down via Defeat. As if you had actually attacked them. So they would be expressing and either threatening and taunting the player. Or pleading and saying things such as "I submit, you win!". And they would be calling out for help, when you for example; take them into an interior and tie them up. It seems like a simple thing given it would use vanilla scripts and voice-lines. And this exact feature is already applied and triggered by Defeat after sex - when the NPC can either flee or attack the player. Essentially how easy would it be to apply vanilla combat or flee state to Defeats knockdown/tie up?

No, people tend not to bother with it. Partly, this is because "mood" settings are incomplete inside Skyrim's engine. They only apply when in dialogue, and it is just an expression that has no bearing on behavior or the types of comments being used. I think for expediency, most modders just leave the default in there (Neutral). Easy enough to change in TesEdit if you are so inclined.

Thank for your reply, How about setting the NPC to combat or flee? Seems like it would be quite simple. I want it so that when you use Defeat to knock an npc down via hotkey, they become aggressive or flee as if I had actually attacked them. That way, they would use suitable expressions and would be shouting for help or hurling threats at my character. This way, the expressions would be a non issue... as the NPC would express appropriately based on their state (combat or flee). I imagine knocking an NPC down and they start shouting "help I'm being attacked" etc. And continue to do so, after I've put them in the Defeat sack and released them. Then for example; if I tied them up in an interior, they are still expressing and talking. Instead of starring blankly with no expression and saying nothing. In the current state I can knock them down and they say nothing, do not really express. I can put them in a sack, take them into an interior and tie them up. And they don't express fear or anger. They just hang there chillin' with a blank expression on their face. They have just been assaulted and abducted. They should be very scared or angry and shouting either for help or threatening my character. I feel like this should be possible by flagging them as in combat whenever you use either the Defeat knockdown or they are tied up. Then there would no need to do anything else. They would express and use voice lines automatically based on their state. They would play either the flee voice lines or the combat voice lines. Either would be very immersive. And it's all just vanilla scripts, behaviour and voice lines. Most of this has already even been implemented within Defeat. For example: after a Sexlab scene triggered via Defeat. The NPC has a chance to either flee or attack. Triggered the appropriate vanilla expressions, voice lines etc. I just want it to do the same when you knockdown or tie up an NPC via Defeat. Except they wouldn't be able to move.
