shazor Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Hey guys, well i played skyrim yesterday and everything was fine. no crashes. today i wanted to start my saved games but it seems so that they are all broken but i didnt change i thing.... do you guys have a idea what could cause this problems?
Veta Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Did you update to an older version of skyrim ?,also are all your saves corrupt or just the new ones?, did you use any program that could cause this ? ,have you tried running skyrim in admin mode ?
Hodoki Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Olá, This has happened to me a few times, I managed to solve it that way!Try enter in your game using another old save (any old save work), if your game crashes again, try again another save until you find one that works. If it works and your game enter normally, wait a few seconds and try to open your most recent save you made in game. I hope this works for you and sorry for my lazy english.
leddis3 Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Yeah I don't know why but suddenly for no reason without changing anything, some saves just crash on load for me. Sometimes I will save, quit, load that save, quit again, then try to load that exact save that I loaded before with no changes and it'll crash, and keep crashing from then on. My conclusion is, that from Morrowind to Skyrim, the engine Bethesda uses has evolved and become sentient, and now spends it's idle time tormenting hapless players like me for fun.
Jormungandr Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Now that's interesting, so i'm not the only one with this.
gamertech100 Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 I've had that issue for a long time... my save game 54 is the most stable it seems , generally I load that first and then load my most recent save.
Mashi Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 It's either save bloat, or something getting corrupted along the way. There doesn't seem to be any solid reason as to why it happens unless you're using an unstable mod that's doing bad writes to the save which does happen. Sounds of Skyrim had that problem, and would eventually corrupt saves over a long period of time.
leddis3 Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 I doubt it's corruption or bloat. My saves are 14mb at 150 hours. Like I said sometimes saves that worked before suddenly crash on load for no reason at all. Then after being loaded from another save that still works, everything continues as normal and upon saving, that save can be loaded without issue until it decides to crash again.
kaosmu Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Try to start a new game and save as soon as you can. After that, just load the save that is giving you crash. That worked for me.
