Evening all, hope all is well.

 

I'm unfortunately turning to you all here out of what some may call desperation, I've been on the hunt for one particular game I played a fair while ago that I can't seem to find anywhere I look and was hoping some of you could perhaps point me in the right direction.

 

The game in question could be described as an odd mixture of RPG/Dungeon crawler/Dating sim of sorts. The general plot, or what I saw of it before my pc died and I lost everything on it at the time placed you as a male in a medieval setting who has been sent out with a close female friend (possibly sister?) to adventure the land and explore dungeons to try and become famous heroes. It's fashioned in a typical top down exploration/turn-based combat style seen in a lot of RPGMaker games with dialogue between characters featuring a full display of the character alongside what it is they have to say.

 

One of few memories was early on assisting an anthropomorphic dog-like woman who seemed to fit a paladin-esque roll (wearing lots of armour, highly religious and dedicated to her craft.) in the defense of a large city against an invasion of undead, after which you gain her as a companion who aids you in delving into "dungeons" whilst slowly forming a bond with both her and the original female companion to level them up both in the regular sense and to level up your relationship with the character. My last existing memory featured a sort of cutesy date seen between the player character and the latter female companion where an option is presented to buy her jewelry, upgrade her armour or upgrade her weapon alongside an attempt at a dinner scene.

 

 

Beyond these vague ramblings I don't recall much about the game, the monsters faced in "dungeons" were largely generic looking beasts and not monster girls more prevalent in these types of games, varying from bats to slimes to hellhounds and between raids you were allowed the chance to possibly craft/buy items to raise stats of certain party members. The game from what I remember of it was decently fun and cute in a charming, sorta unique way and I've love to give it a proper playthrough and see if it's been abandoned or even by chance still seeing updates and love.

No, before anyone asks or tries to suggest it, it is most certainly not "Shin Sei Den" that I'm looking for. I almost wish it was, as if it were I wouldn't have to put the question to all of you fine people and potentially waste your time. I could be wrong, but the first game that comes to mind from your description is Erolon: Dungeon Bound. Is this game a work in progress, or is it a completed title?

Yes! You are an absolute legend. Holy shit, thank you so much. This has been bothering me for weeks and you just casually bring it up. Erolon is exactly the game I was trying to describe, even if I sorta sucked at it.

Oh, and to respond to your own question, seeing as I failed to answer it in my excitement? It appears to still be in development. That or it's been abandoned, I'll have to do some digging on that.
