Slorm Posted January 23, 2020 Share Posted January 23, 2020 I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge of this issue. This is a relatively new game (around 12 hours in) and I've noticed that neither the Steward or Innkeepers are showing the dialogue option "I'm looking for work got any leads" consequently the Kill the Bandit Leader quest isn't offered (checked Inns at Whiterun, Riverwood and Rorikstead. I've checked in the other Holds and the option does show, the problem just seems to be Whiterun. I did clear Valtheim and White River Watch off my own back as I was passing , so to check it hadn't caused a problem I waited over 30 days in game to let them respawn but still no dialogue Annoyingly I had to reinstall PST so most of my backups were lost. The two sets I have, the first has the same problem, butthe other very early in the game at Bleakfalls Barrow does work correctly if I coc to the Inn in Riverwood, so something along the way has caused this to happen. It's hardly a big deal but I'm just curious if anyone has run into this or has any idea how to get the dialogue option back Link to comment
Slorm Posted February 2, 2020 Author Share Posted February 2, 2020 In case anyone else runs into this, it looks to be like something has hung a script (at a guess) so the dialogue line never appears. I started a new game and played it in the same order as the last and the mission dialogue is now appearing normally, so must have just been a glitch that got baked into the save Link to comment
