Sillius_Maximus Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 Thematically, the mod draws from the the "spirit" of Warhammer 40k Inquisitors, Sisters of Silence. It draws a little bit from the idea of a Discipline Priest - classic WoW. In a lore friendly, non overpowered manner. Name: Not set, but <High Inquisitor> or <Order of St. Alessia> Backstory: A war rages in tamriel, between light and dark. It transcends the "skyrim belongs to___ " conflict. There is a war between the Path of Light (9 divines+ Meredia+ jyggligg) and the Path of Darkness (Molag, namira, etc) Think of your self as an unaligned version of the Alliance operative in Firefly at the start. Adds: New spells and abilities ~ 50 or so (mostly done) (largely centered around anti-magic concepts) New Armor look (beyond my abilities) New Weapons (Partly done) (Weapons, armor, and ammo Can ONLY be purchased from a vendor in your respective fortress, and ONLY upgraded at your fortress) Questline: (well beyond my abilities, couldnt even get the CK demo quest to work right after 4 hours). Need help here 5 New places: A bright, ethereal, high gothic Fortress Monastery. Your home for the path of Light. (Conceptually, temple of Solitudes, have a basic template already in existing mod) A prison (make it neutral, looks like prison, no daedric or aedric) conceptually present in my mod already A dark fortress monastery - the player home that is available if you choose path of darkness in the quest tree (would be a dark version of the light) A small light chapel (death alternative, if you die in skyrim, you spawn here- path of light) a small dark chapel (same as light, but for path of dark). If you ahve ever bemoaned "I miss the good ole days when modders helped eachother and collaborated" here is another chance to do so Hell, i dont give 2 shits about getting credit, think of me as the story or artisitic director guy. Kind of how this mod will work: The basic idea is that on your journey to secure Skyrim for all of mankind, you will be tasked with crippling or elminating the sources of all other gods- especially daedric lords. To accomplish this, All Dragon priests masks must be aquired. These masks must also be destroyed and reforged- into the sanctc halo. the sanctic halo gives you half of the sum total effect of wearing all 10 masks at once. IN forging the halo, it destroys the masks. You must destroy all daedric weapons... At present, the idea here is that you collect the artifacts, and use them to form a new weapon - the Breaker of Chains. This sword likewise has loosely the effect of all the dadric weapons in one. (toned down a bit, and cut in half). Still to figure out- I want to make crafting a set of the weapons/armor a worthy task, with a worthy rewqard. Once you have crafted one though - you can craft all... So If i add a 2handed sword.. If you craft the 1handed BoC, you can trade it essentially 1:1 for a 2h BoC the dmg would be increased, but the effects remain static.regardless of which path you choose.. 1) your armor levels with you.. Yes- you can still temper it at a workbench. However, as an inquisitor , consider yourself forbidden from wearing unsanctiond armor. 2) your weapons work the same way. Swords, 2handed swords, ranged will be only options. After conclusion, you will receive a Sanctic halo (or something dark sounding) a "Lord Inquisitor" set of armor, (option of Light- Light, Light - Heavy, Dark-Light, Dark, heavy) A Bow, and either a 1hand sword and board or a 2h sword. Skyrim will refer to you by a title of Nobility - "My lord Inquisitor" and so forth, random people will kneelMods which will NOT be required, or used in this mod, but will play NICELY with if you choose to install them: Wildcat, ( or similar) Death alternative (general combat surrender) Alternate starts Paradise Halls (every inquisitor needs to interrogate his or her quarry sometimes) Kidnapped... (lets face it, sometimes the minions of the night might come out and harass you to keep you from completing your mission Where im looking for contributions especially - someone to do the quest making, location building, needed scripting.. Id rather not just add "another spell pack" to skyrim.
Sillius_Maximus Posted January 5, 2020 Author Posted January 5, 2020 Conceptually, the way the armor works so far is it takes what your total armor value would be from a full 4 peice set and does it in two peices (robes and boots). The robes are then flagged to make sure you cant put armor on top of it...

Pulanus Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 As armor you can use the King Crusader armor which already looks nice (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/8856) And It would be cool to go inside various houses and accuse people of worshiping the Daedra (Or just quests that point you to people that actually worship Daedra)
Sillius_Maximus Posted January 7, 2020 Author Posted January 7, 2020 The Santic Halo is now crafted by all 10 vanilla dragon priest masks, and affords you the effects of wearing ALL 10, but at half the effect. The Breaker of Chains, is crafted from pretty much all daedric artifacts. Effects loosely the same as weilding all artifacts at once- but in half. The end result is that in Testing Cell, at level 111 with block/1handed maxed out.. I was not invincible. SOmethings still could kill me, I killed others...

Loosely, how things have kind of developed is that im bringing the 40k reference up a bit from inquisitor only, to Emperor of Mankind. So Anti-magic inquisitor stuff very much has a role, but the "end game" is you become the Emperor of Mankind. I am trying to figure out the major threats to humanity at large, and use those threats as the basis for forging the <Armor of Emperor Ascendant>. At present. Collecting all 10 dragon priests masks will be used in forging the Sanctic Halo (loosely = all 10 priests masks/2 effect wise) Collecting most/all daedric artifacts will be used in forging the Breaker of Chains (loosely = all daedric artifact effects/2) Problem: as i understand it, some daedric quests give you an option.. i cant get a "either/or is required" to work in crafting recipes... What I lack at the moment is Collecting all _________ will be used in forging the armor. ----- Then---- Once the armor and weapon is forged, you can essentially re-forge it for a Light armor/heavy armor version, or a sword and board, or a 2h weapon..(I am going to leave it at sword and board/2h sword.....
Pulanus Posted January 8, 2020 Posted January 8, 2020 A main threat could be vampires? Or Daedra? Like a large scale invasion of Daedra or Vampire outbreak. Although the vampires have been used in Dawnguard so that might be out of the plan And if you want to create some new zones, you can take inspiration from Bloodborne, Path of Exile or Diablo, I for one like Path of Exile design (A dungeon with corpse piles and blood flowing beneath the walkways sounds cool).
