korbe Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 Riddle me this! Does Sims 4 have an animation limit? i'm at 5332! I know skyrim gets wonky at 9500 so figured i'd look into it. google is clueless. thx!
dharvinia Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 It is not so much the number of animations, but rather the calls to said animations. If your main programming is calling one animation type, and another mod is calling another, and you are running both at the same time, then there could conceivably be a problem. The other problem is if you have all animations "active" in memory at the same time. This uses up valuable memory space, and will (depending on your system) affect the frame rate of said animations to the point where you get crashes, or "stalls" . There is the saying that too much of a good thing is a bad thing. So if you want to be safe try and determine what animations are being used the most and keep those. Animations that are just sitting there doing nothing use up memory resources, get rid of those. A clean program usually does not give you any problems.
