Donkey anims won't play

A little problem that i've noticed that I've been having, its that the Donkey New Anim Project Anims don't play at all.

(loversbitch is sorted where it is due to my LoversBitchUO project.)

 

 

The nehrim version is rougly the same (the lovers mods are all sorted the same way)

 

The LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp & LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp are from New and improved animation project 2.4 - Revised.7z in both cases.

 

Same problem persists in both oblivion and nehrim.

 

 

Any ideas why?

Error Message from Wrye Bash:

Part of the problem is you have lovers files in your bashed patch.

Be advised that including any lovers files in your bashed patch (other than sexual organs) breaks their scripting and causes a variety of odd crap to happen.

 

Lovers bitch should NEVER be below:

76 LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp

77 LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp

Having any lovers plugins (except 3dorgasm) below them screws up the lovers system.

 

 

Correctly order your plugins to match the one in the spoiler on the read this thread, then disable all lovers esm\esp files, then rebuild your bashed patch. Then start the game and make a clean save. Exit the game and enable your lovers files, restart the game, load your newly made clean save and you should see the animations just fine.

Also you need to fix this error:

58 LoversStupidNpc.esp

----> Delinquent MASTER: bgBalancingEVCore.esp

 

You have modified the Lovers Stupid file with traits from the bgBalancing plugin and thus have made it a master of lovers stupid. That means you need to move bgBalancingEVCore.esp to be "above" lovers stupid in your load order.

Make certain that the LoversIdleAnims.esp from Donkey's New and Improved Animations pack is the one that is in your data folder. If you are using the one from the resource pack or the one from lovers creatures then you won't see the additional animations.

 

Since you are talking about animation 247 that tells me that you are NOT using the correct loversidleanims.esp file, as there is "no" 247 listed in the scripting.

 

 

The script controlling dog sex is xLoversCreatureSGetspos and here is a snippet from it showing the dog sex random selection:

According to my bash list it is the one from Donkey's New and Improved Animations pack.

 

The one in the Nehrim version is definately that one (just with the Oblivion.esm changed to Nehrim.esm)

 

(edit: I just opened it up in the CS: it is indeed the correct version)

2. Wrye is handing you a sack of lies.

 

You can figure out pretty quickly which it is by opening up loversidleanims.esp in either egg translator or the CS and taking a look at the xLoversCmnGetCreatureType script.

er sorry that was a typo. It's 243 that it plays. Not 247. There is no 247. Sorry for not catching that sooner.

 

Which seems to be added by LoversMotionNT

 

And I just did open it in the CS in both Normal Oblivion and Nehrim installs. It's the correct LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp in both cases.

Looking through your bain packages I am not seeing where you have lovers creatures. Am I just not seeing the tree for the forest?

 

As to animation 247??? What in the heck is that. I don't see it in the Daedra Sutra' date=' nor do I see it in lovers creatures or Donkey's pack.

Yeah I just noticed that too, turns out I accidently Cut-pasted instead of Copy Pasted it into the Nehrim Install's Bash Installs folder.

 

(I'm using MOM to switch between nehrim and Oblivion btw, not that this is any way relevant to the topic though.)

 

wait maybe it is 247... that's the other offense anim in my dog anims folder... but there's no ini for it. weeeiiiirrddd... and now i'm thoroughly confused. GAH.

Well something is still F'd up if you are getting animation 243 with a dog and human. That should not be playing.

 

Have you tried starting a new game? I am wondering if something may be screwed up in your current game due to you having had lovers plugins in your bashed patch.

Lovers creatures adds animation 207.

Motions NT adds a replacement 207 that overwrites the lovers creatures one.

Donkey's new and improved animations pack adds these animations:

1101 - 1111

 

 

Now as to your mystery 247 animation. You are not loosing your mind. It actually can be found in the dog folder of Donkey's pack. It is a mistake on my part of putting it there when I reorganized the pack. It should NOT be there and since it has no ini file it should never play.

Seems the only two anims it plays is 207, and 1103??

 

Huh. Odd. I guess it does (one of) the donkey anims after all.... though It doesn't run any of the other Dog-Related Donkey anims though.

 

COuldn't tell last time since for some strange reason it doesn't print the anim used in the Nehrim version. (... weird.)

 

 

... on a secondary note, although the scripts recompile correctly, trying to save the LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp causes the CS to crash. Maybe there's some sort of connection there?

 

(using TESCS + OBSE 21.1 + CSE 6.0)

 

 

EDIT: I have good news and bad news.

 

 

Good news is I found the problem.

 

 

The problem seems to lie within the forementioned script you mentioned earlier:

The problem lies in the fact that the GetRandomPercent is multiplied by 0.11, meaning even at a randompercent of 100, it never goes past 11, meaning it will ONLY play 207 AND 1103.

 

 

The bad news... as I mentioned, It crashes whenever I try to save the file. So unless someone can make the necessary change set iRandom to (GetRandomPercent * 0.11) to set iRandom to GetRandomPercent, there's hardly anything I can do.

 

 

 

This error is repeated wit the other ones too. (IE the goblins)

Ah, well scripting was never my strong suit. Strange that it played the other animations for me however.

 

I can and will update the script and will insert it into Donkey's New and Improved animations pack. I will also make a patch with just that file so folks don't have to reinstall the whole thing.

 

I can alter the file with Obse v20 and CS 5.1 just fine without crashes. :)

 

 

Thanks for the heads up! Give me 2 hours or so and I will have it fixed and uploaded.

Heh. Aint mine either, but finding errors does seem to be mine.

 

bascically all you'd need to do it seems is find everything that has Set Irandom to (Getrandompercent * 0.XX) and get rid of the * 0.XX part.

Ok, here is the deal:

 

You are using an OLD version of Donkey's New and Improved animations pack. Go back and download the file again and this time pull out the loversidleanims.esp file and manually drop it in your data folder. Then play.

 

I already fixed that script a month or so ago when it was brought to my attention by one of my Bravil Underground testers (not sure exactly which one found the error.

 

In the latest version the code is 60 percent - see post #4. That made the other animations play.

buuut then 1111, 2004, 216 Etc etc never plays....
