CTD near Morthal

Hey guys, I'm having a weird problem. Game ran successfully for about 12hrs of gameplay, no problem whatsoever - well nothing that couldn't be fixed by tweaking my parameters to my liking. Anyways. This savefile I've got crashes when I get close to Morthal. I've tried disabling about a third of my mods, the ones I thought could cause the problem by having fucked-up interactions together like AI modification mods and such.

Also got a similar problem, a couple of days beforehand, when loading Whiterun. Figured it was something about the save because creating a new character and going to whiterun didn't pose any problem; I figure it has to be about savefile bloat or something. No idea what it is, and I tried ReSaver to no avail.

Update : I've tested a lot of stuff and only the area around Morthal seems to trigger CTDs. So... Probably one of the mods themselves. Welp, time for the good old "one at a time removal"...

If anyone has any theories / pointers I'd welcome them though.

Please define "near Morthal"

 

Need to figure out if it is something affecting the area, or something affecting a spawn point.

I'd say when I enter the cell containing the city proper. Also crashes when I ride the wagon to there. I'll try to run a few tests, see how close to it I can get without crashing from all directions.

Found the bastard. Cursed Loot. Specifically, the bound girls that appear here and there. Not all of them caused the CTD but I'm guessing some of the gear the mod tried to force on them collided together in a script mess.

Thanks for posting your solution it helped me with the CTD i was having. must of missed it when going through each of my mods . that solved my CTD at winterhold

I had disabled Cursed Loot in-game but that didn't stop from ctd. However, after reading and trying from a load after the disable, worked fine. Thanks.
