I'm going to renew my power supply and upgrade the GPU for this build but not sure of the best option and still maintain a balance.

I play mostly Skyrim and Fallout, budget is not an issue and I'll soon be building a new PC for win 10.

I can throw a 2080 ti in it but wouldn't that be just a waste? Any insight or advise will be helpful.

2080TI is overkill for that current system (considering theres a huge bottleneck between your current cpu and the Gpu you ant to buy)

 

But if it is for a new rig you want to build i think its ok XD

Yes I agree, I think I'm leaning towards a 1070TI ( but I see their selling for more than MSRP)

its all about options.... but like i said, if you are going to build a new rig and budget is not a problem then imo i think it wouldnt be a bad thing to go for the 2080TI even if it has a bottleneck in your current rig (ofc also depends at what resolution you are going to play and some other minor factors .)

I see, I only use a HD 42" wide screen TV as a monitor so I can play from my lazyboy. My main intension is playing Skyrim with ENB, PE physics and get my feet wet with SMP (which my GTX 680 doesn't support. Thanks for your comments
