jap2015 Posted November 29, 2019 Posted November 29, 2019 Windows 7 Home Premium (x64) Service Pack 1 3.50 gigahertz Intel Core i7-3770K Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H Kingston 8 GB X 2 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 840 PRO Series 256.06 GB 850 EVO 500GB ST2000DM001-1CH164 [Hard drive] (2000.40 GB) Corsair TX650M I'm going to renew my power supply and upgrade the GPU for this build but not sure of the best option and still maintain a balance. I play mostly Skyrim and Fallout, budget is not an issue and I'll soon be building a new PC for win 10. I can throw a 2080 ti in it but wouldn't that be just a waste? Any insight or advise will be helpful.
Zebot Posted November 29, 2019 Posted November 29, 2019 2080TI is overkill for that current system (considering theres a huge bottleneck between your current cpu and the Gpu you ant to buy) But if it is for a new rig you want to build i think its ok XD

Zebot Posted November 29, 2019 Posted November 29, 2019 its all about options.... but like i said, if you are going to build a new rig and budget is not a problem then imo i think it wouldnt be a bad thing to go for the 2080TI even if it has a bottleneck in your current rig (ofc also depends at what resolution you are going to play and some other minor factors .)
jap2015 Posted November 29, 2019 Author Posted November 29, 2019 I see, I only use a HD 42" wide screen TV as a monitor so I can play from my lazyboy. My main intension is playing Skyrim with ENB, PE physics and get my feet wet with SMP (which my GTX 680 doesn't support. Thanks for your comments
