Bee Box Spam Nixer

Does anyone know of a mod which removes whims for buying a "bee box" and/or a "1x1 pool"?  I'm getting tired of seeing these things, even when I've bought them.  If I want my character to have one, I'll buy it for them, but these things show up about ever other cycle of whims.

Seems nothing like that exists.  Perhaps someone can point me to some decent Sims modding instructions?

 

I've been programming longer that most here have been alive and modding since quite a few have been alive.  I just don't like to delve into code because it tends to remove any feeling of immersion when playing the game.
