Dead Men and Women Walking on the Moon, OR Paralysis by Analysis

This query relates to the tendancy for some NPCs:

1 - to fail to stay dead, visually, but crawl, or levitate from the ground and do an imitation of some very satisfied in heat kitty, when they are clearly members of the Monty Python Dead Parrot Sketch Actors Guild

2 - to rise from the ground and moonwalk in midair the space between ground and ceiling when paralysed - or paralyzed - even when they are not acting in some impersonation of a paralytic drunk

The mods I use that seem to result in this behavior - although they are NOT necessarily the CAUSE of such - are

PAHE - Home Sweet Home (as using Heretical Resources HDT chain assets and related functionality, and

Ragdoll Paralysis - from Nexus, both

Ragdoll Paralysis Redux

and the original

Defeat - Goubo;s masterpiece, from this site, as amended by some Russian footwear specialist, randomnik, and others

1 - Test examples: Deaths

On the Dark Brotherhood quest to eliminate Agnis from Fort Greymoor, I used Defeat to tie her and put her in a sack, take her to the Dark Brotherhood clearing nr Falkreath, and dispatched her to sweep Sovngarde for evermore.  On release from the sack, I tried

Leaving her in the Defeat default, ie tied on knees, and killed her using

Non Magical etc deaths

Oil arrows creating a nice puddle of inflammable liquid, then set on fire with a Fire Arrow - here she died on the ground, but lay sideways doing a sort of half asleep, something stuck up her ass, shuffle

Projectiles, such as

ebony arrow

Poison Dart

Weak Arrows - Forsworn

Any death that came with any 'magical effect' eg paralysis from ebony enchanted bow, attempted soul capture from ebony bow, paralysis poisoned weapons using arrows or bolts, resulted in her being levitated into the air, and doing something like a swimmers crawl etc in one of those vertical windtunnels used to simulate freefall

2 - Test examples - PAHE Home Sweet Home (HSH)

As background, you can place Heretical Resources chains in your HSH controlled 'game cell' - for simplicity, this is a contiguous space controlled by HSH 'token' - and attach your HSH slave to them - ie a slave captured using PAHE and transferred to HSH in the HSH location.  This works by 'temporarily' paralysing the HSH slave and in that state allowing them to be attached to the placed chains - 4 limb extremities and neck are valid attachment points.

The mod author @Musje is quite clear that the Havok physics involved is flaky ?, and clearly NONE of this is her fault - really, it's not!  I can get it to sort of work, not via the mod dialogue option, but by 'paralysing' the NPC (a whip Damage 1, with paralysis poison, or a paralayze spell will both do the trick) and then looking for the chain attachment option,

But quite often the NPC will, after application of the paralysis, rise from the ground, like it was trying to do some sort of David Copperfield act, and proceed to walk in mid air, sometimes in a vertical position, sometimes horizontally. and it looks ridiculous.  It becomes like a thrall, unresponsive to any dialogue, but seems to EDIT:: retain regain its balance if you waklk out the cell, and then return.  But what slavemaster really wants to look as if they are going to the loo every 5 minutes or so?

It is possible to get chains to attach, but not consistently, and not how the mod author intended

And I had it all working perfectly at one time in the past, but I cannot work out what is stopping it now

So:

Whilst tyhere is lots of bumff out there in the wild about dead NPCs walking etc, nothing I have seen provides a definitive fix

Given that I am now at my wits end trying to work out what is going wrong, does anyone out there have any experience of similar issues and any real idea what I might need to do to stop this sort of nonsense?

Apologies for length

TIA for any help that anyone might offer
