Spell Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Quite decent (for a laptop). HD7970M = Dedicated gpu 802:11b/g/n = Wireless LAN standard Regards (:

HD7970M = Dedicated gpu 802:11b/g/n = Wireless LAN standard Regards (: realy great news, thank you. so any ideas what the whole problem with "can you run it" is? why dose it connect the cpu and card? ....for some reason im thinking i have 2 cards, 1 dedicated card and 1 integrated, that would be why i can switch between 2 difirent performance on graphics? (i have some sort of "switchable graphics" allong with CCC)
Spell Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 That's true. A10-4600M(like other APUs) has an integrated gpu (HD76xx or something), however HD7970M is the gpu of choice(more performance).

Do you know anyrhing about drivers? i want to check for driver updates. do i need to check for the APU as itself of the two components that make it(the amd a10-4600m + amd radeon hd7760g)as well as the amd radeon hd 7970M? also! i almost forgot! "VGA: amd radeon hd 7970m / 2gb gddr5" what dose that last bit mean?

"VGA: amd radeon hd 7970m / 2gb gddr5" what dose that last bit mean? GDDR5 is the memory your Graphics card uses. So it has 2 gb of GDDR5 memory. I don't know much about laptops but GDDR5 sounds like it is more geared towards mobile platforms (which makes sense) giving you the most performance for the least amount of power cost. It's a good thing either way, the less RAM your card has, the more it has to pull from your motherboard RAM. With 2 GB I don't think that's something you will need to worry about, unless the game is very graphics intensive.
b00marrows Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 thanks for the help. sorry it took so long to reply iv had some serious issues with memory leaks recently, i cant play a game for more than an hour without ram usage going to ~60% and after i sto gaming it just sits there.... if anyone has any ideas please help
Spell Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 You may try this: Update the gpu-driver (HD7970M) and deactivate all unnecessary stuff/background processes deactivate the integrated gpu (I don't think it has it's own ram) -don't do that if you have no computer skills hth (:
GreyDeath Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 keep one thing in mind though when it comes to upgrading any software from AMD, in order to fully upgrade any drivers from AMD you need to download the NEW DRIVERS both for the VGA "Graphics card whether onboard or Stand alone " and you will need the NEW CATALYST Drivers as well " its the plug in utility for the VGA Card drivers, then Before you install your new Drivers and Catalyst you need to uninstall your old Catalyst and then uninstall your Old VGA drivers , then reboot your machine and install the NEW CATALYST then your New VGA Drivers
