Question in regards to sharing sims and CC.

I post occasionally with screenshots, not too frequently and more often than not it tends to be a bug/issue I'm having, I've had a couple of requests to share the sims in my shots which I am happy to do but... here is the thing, they are heavy, heavy, heavy CC'ified.

Is the only solution to export without CC then track down all the mods manually to link as tray importer doesn't or can't find the sources?

Additionally, I've taken to making edits to some creators work for personal use to 'fix' issues on my end, nothing major but for example, a cat ears from one author and a set of tails from another, I moved them to tattoo's so they are part of my sims rather than clothing.  They also don't play nice with those eyelashes we all love, they seem to share texture overlap on the UV map or something, if this was Oblivion or Skyrim I could fix that in two seconds flat, here, not so much.

Its beyond me to make them an addon to the original mod package, all I was able to do was make the original packages swap from hat/glasses to tatts which is good enough for personal use but not for sharing, if you try to use both my tatts edit and the original only the later to load shows up, if I knew how to make them rely on the original package instead and allow both to show up it would solve that issue.

Anyway, ARRRRGGG, confused/help/whatever

Examples of sims people asked me to share.

There are a couple more but the only screenshots I have for them right now are 100% totally and utterly filthy NSFW... So, erring on the side of caution.

I do this fairly often to avoid slot conflicts. The best approach, in my opinion, is usually cloning the *.package using S4 CAS Tools (very easy, like 4 clicks). This creates a separate copy of the item which can exist in the game along with the original. You can then modify the copy to your liking and share it with others without breaking anything in their game.

Note that swapping the slot properly involves more work than just changing the slot type. All the texture layers should be moved to respect the image below, otherwise you get the overlaps when used together with other items. Yes, it is a pain in the butt (and sometimes it is not worth it and just accept that the item can not be used together with a hat or something).
