vex714 Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 Hi all, I have an issue with the book of UUNP. Recently I switched from CBBE to UUNP. UUNP body works fine, even in high dense areas. However, when I install the book of UUNP and its hdt sliders, the game slows substantially when close to other people. Probably too many physics things going on? I mean, the regular clothes/armors on NPCs had bounce to them already. I've read that the issue may stem from my skeleton. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/75861/? Works fine like it used to if I removed the mod. I could try it without the HDT applied to the Book of UUNP mod. Or should I try the "Full Bounce Kit" available on the mod downloads section? On my NMM it says I'm using 3.88 of XP32 Maximum Skeleton Extended On my FNIS it says "reading XPMSE V6.1" There is XPMSE 4.51 available. Would it be wise to update? If so how would I go about doing it manually that way it doesn't affect other mods just in case? Just a little worried if it could affect anything if I just simply updated it by NMM.
vex714 Posted October 5, 2019 Author Posted October 5, 2019 Bump I do have the same setup before I started having this FPS issue. It's just the game stutters when I'm in a place with a bunch of Npcs like the bannered mare. Ran fine when I had cbbe. Using optimized textures for Fair Skin too. I even removed the vanilla armor meshes that had physics on them. Back to static vanilla outfits. It helped a little, but the game still slows a bit. Just gonna try without book of Uunp and see how it goes. I just did a switch from cbbe to uunp. Any ideas or suggestions on what I can do would be appreciated.
Seijin8 Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 In general Book of UUNP armors are very system intensive (extremely unoptimized). Because of the way they made it, every armor that the set uses a piece of has to be partly loaded as a mesh and fully loaded with its textures. If using HD textures for armors, a single armor might need the equivalent of seven armors' worth of resources. Those sliders are being applied as many as seven times, etc. I love the idea of Book of UUNP, and I do use it (sparingly), but the execution is very poor.
