Maxis match hair color question

So question about downloaded hair style mods. I prefer Maxis match over various modders own personal hair colors, Some of them just don't fit right for me. I have Sims 4 studio and haven't played around with it to terribly much, but would it be fairly easy to add the 10+ Maxis color swatches to custom Hair? I know some use custom textures to make the hair straight, wavy, etc so not sure if its simple or takes something like Photoshop to pull off.

You need to recolor the CC.

To do so, open the package in Sims 4 Studio, extract the diffuse texture, change the color with a 2D software such as Gimp or Photoshop, add the color to a new swatch, save the package. There is plenty of in depth tutorials explaining this in more details.

Ok, so not too terribly hard. I might give it a shot, plenty of hairstyles I like but sadly I enjoy maxis match hair better. Some creators "real life hair" looks faker than maxis' does
