Honestly it was nothing hard at all. I just copyied and renamed some files. All thanks goes to rjqnraos19 - the author of the original mod.

Thank you man I've been waiting for something like this, to update mod?. Do you think you'll be able to add the shader for the rest of the costumes on the other characters since there not updating doa anymore? I would really appreciate it..?

For anyone who might remain unclear as I did as to what this mod does, it basically increases reflectivity on the skin of characters. It looks much, much better and it's pretty subtle intially, but really starts to shine (ha) after a fight. Definitely keep this file safe if you download it, as one of us might have to reupload it someday. I'm attaching a few comparison images to flip through if anyone is interested! Spent a while getting the game booting on my Steam Deck today but it was worth it. Great mod! If this link ever goes dead, please send me a DM and I'll rehost it somewhere.
