Character can't sit anymore or use utilities like work bench, etc.

I've recently got this problem. I've tried:

 

1. Verifying the game cache

 

2. Complete reinstall of Skyrim

 

3. Uninstall recent mods

 

But to no avail.

 

Anyone know a solution?

 

Unfortunately, I don't have a save file prior to the problem.

Resolved.

 

Strangely, after I installed the SexiS Cupid file from the SexiS mod, everything worked fine.

 

Stranger still, its the first time I've installed this.

 

Can anyone explain how this managed to act as a fix?

I am not a modder at all, but it sounds to me like your character had an active script running. Sometimes waiting for 2 or 3 hours in-game time lets the script finish and your game returns to normal.
